After all the hard work, effort and dedication, the day has finally arrived! ❤️
Whatever those results say today, remember that they are just numbers on a page and they do not define who you are, your abilities or what you can achieve in the future.
Be proud of yourselves, not only for your results, but for how far you’ve come and everything you’ve gone through into getting here. 💚
Whatever the numbers are, it will all be okay. This is just one little step on a much bigger journey. ✨
Believe in yourself, keep moving forward and never forget that your future is so much bigger than a set of results. 🎓❤️

🐾 A little reminder about matted coats 🐾
Unfortunately, when a dog’s coat becomes badly matted, the safest and kindest option is often to clip the coat short. Mats can be extremely uncomfortable and can pull tightly on the skin.
🐾 We never want to put a dog through unnecessary discomfort, so we only spend a short amount of time trying to demat. If the coat is too tight or the dog is becoming distressed, clipping is the kinder option.
🐾 Underneath severe mats there can sometimes be sore, bruised or irritated skin. This may only become visible once the coat has been removed, so please don’t be alarmed if your dog needs to go very short.
🐾 Clipping a matted dog takes extra time and care, and there is an increased risk of nicks or irritation because we are working so close to the skin.
🐾HUMANITY BEFORE VANITY IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE MY NUMBER 1 CHOICE 💯
🐾 Prevention is always better than a clip off! Regular brushing and combing, especially behind the ears, under and around the legs and around the collar, can help prevent painful mats.

***Just wanted to point out as a few people have asked and didnt believe me- YES, THIS IS THE SAME DOG IN ALL PHOTOS. Lady went in a poodle and 2.5 hours later came out an Airedale Terrier, thats whats so fun about Creative Grooming, the options are endless***

Another busy weekend on the road to Camross, Co. Wexford, with our girl Lady for the South East Groom Off competition. 🐾❤️
We were going well until my clippers broke around 30 minutes into the competition! 😩 Panic stations hit, but I stayed calm and figured the only thing I could do was scissor everything else.
A huge thank you to everyone who offered up their clippers during the comfort break — I really appreciated it. ❤️ I took on the extra challenge of having no clippers, kept going, and we only went and won the class! 🥰🏆
Thanks Tanya and Lyndsay for speaking so highly of Lady's transformation and for the placement and critique. I truly appreciate your expertise. 🥰
The heat made it so much harder at 25°, but I’m so proud of Lady for doing so well. We had so much fun, even though I looked like I’d been working in the coal mines by the end of it! 😂🤣 Thanks Laura for that comment! 😂
Thanks again and congrats to Jade on such a successful event, we had an amazing day. Same again next year?? 😅
