✨ WHY DOES THE FIRST DEEP CLEAN TAKE LONGER? ✨

The first time I deep clean someone’s home will always take longer — and there’s a very good reason for that.

I’m not coming in to do a regular weekly clean. I’m coming in to give your home a full reset. 👑✨

That means detailed cleaning, room by room, getting into the areas that don’t normally get touched during day-to-day cleaning, and bringing the house up to a standard that is then much easier to maintain.

I recommend decluttering your home, bag up old unwanted clothes, toys, organising your food presses, clearing out the house room by room.

To start just pick a press or a drawer thats full of crap you have gathered empty and organise that and just tip away at the house bit by bit.

Booking a deep clean is a great motivation to start decluttering your space. I will then come in and clean giving you a complete reset to maintain.

Clean Queen is NOT a general cleaning service.

A general clean is the regular weekly upkeep of your home.

What I offer is a deep-cleaning service, and you can book me:

- As a one-off
- Once a month
- Every 2 months
- Every 6 months
- Once a year
- Or simply whenever you feel your home needs a proper reset

And here’s the important part…

Your home may never have had this level of deep cleaning before, even if you’ve lived there for years — and that is completely okay. 💗

There is absolutely no judgement from me.

My service is completely confidential, respectful and non-judgmental. I’m coming into your home to help, not to judge how you live.

I understand how overwhelming keeping on top of a house can be.

Being a mam, looking after children, working, pets, school runs, activities, hobbies, socialising, cooking, shopping, washing, laundry… the list literally never ends. 😂

Sometimes the deeper jobs just keep getting pushed further down the list because there simply aren’t enough hours in the day.

That is exactly why I offer the service I do.

I also have my own home, children, husband and daily life to keep on top of, so I’ve chosen to specialise in one-off and occasional deep cleans rather than weekly general cleaning.

✨ A little note about what I offer with Clean Queen ✨

A general clean is an important service — and it’s actually something I hire someone to help with in my own house from time to time! Between being a mam, running a house and trying to keep on top of everyday life, I can get overwhelmed with the daily jobs too. 😂

Also unfair to have the expectation of a deep clean on someone hired to do a general clean in 2 hours! Deep cleaning can not be rushed and is completely different to deep cleaning.Both general and deep cleaning are hard work both as important as the other.

But a general clean is not what I offer.

👑 Clean Queen is all about DEEP CLEANING.

I deep clean my own house once or twice a month, depending on how busy the house has been and, let’s be honest… my energy levels. 🤷‍♀️😂 Once that deep clean is done, I know it’s just the everyday upkeep from there.

For me, once a month is ideal for most households, but that is only my opinion — it is absolutely not a rule and there is ZERO judgement if your house hasn’t had a deep clean in months.

Life is BUSY!

Kids. Pets. Work. School runs. Activities. Homework. The gym. Cooking. Laundry. Food shopping. Putting the poxy shopping away. 😂 Socialising, if you’re lucky… date night, if you’re even luckier! The list never ends.

So please do not feel bad if the deep cleaning keeps getting pushed down the list.

That’s where I come in. 💕

This is what an honest day’s work looks like when I say DEEP CLEAN 🧽✨

For a standard 3-bed house with:
3 bedrooms
1 ensuite
1 main bathroom
Hall, stairs & landing
Sitting room
Kitchen

I would realistically expect this to take a full day — roughly 9am to 6pm.
That’s not me exaggerating. A proper deep clean takes time. If it suits your family better, I can split it over 2 days. If your house is bigger, we’ll have a chat beforehand and agree what’s realistic.

So what do I actually mean by a deep clean?

When I arrive, I start by putting bicarbonate of soda on carpets and fabric furniture to help freshen everything up while I get started.
I work room by room, top to bottom.
Bedrooms are properly done — beds stripped, mattresses hoovered, beds and furniture moved, rubbish removed, underneath everything hoovered, walls, skirting boards, windowsills and windows cleaned, surfaces wiped, floors cleaned, accessories tidied and beds remade.
Bathrooms and ensuites are emptied out so I can actually get in and scrub. Toiletries are wiped down, presses cleaned inside and out, and I use different brushes, steam and plenty of elbow grease to get everything properly clean.
Hall, stairs and landing include walls, doors, frames, skirting boards, banisters, pictures, ornaments and floors.

The front door, porch and step also get a good scrub, inside and out where I can safely reach.
In the sitting room I move furniture, clean behind and underneath, remove cushions, hoover furniture, spot clean where needed, dust and clean all surfaces, skirting boards, windows and floors.
And then there’s the kitchen 😅
Furniture moved where possible, surfaces cleaned, presses washed inside and out, oven cleaned, fridge cleaned, doors, frames, skirting boards and floors all done.
For kitchen presses, fridge, pots, pans and cutlery, I ask that these are emptied before I arrive so I can get straight into cleaning. You can put everything back afterwards.
All cleaning products and equipment are provided.
If you also need help clearing wardrobes, decluttering presses or getting organised, I can absolutely help with that too — but I do that separately before the deep clean.
And if you genuinely don’t know how to keep on top of cleaning, I can show you. Not everyone was taught how to organise and clean a home. It’s a skill 😉 No judgement here.
I blitz every room and keep moving until the inside of the house is properly cleaned.
The only thing I won’t do is climb ladders to clean high outside windows because I am absolutely terrified of heights 🫣😂 I’ll happily clean any windows I can safely reach.

And I’ll say this — if somebody tells you they are giving your whole house a genuine deep clean in 2–3 hours, that is not the kind of deep clean I’m talking about.

I only offer deep cleans. I have my own house, kids and life to keep on top of too, so regular little cleaning jobs here and there don’t suit me.
I work on a day rate, which includes my time, cleaning products, equipment and travel.

My price is my price. I won’t charge you more and I won’t charge you less. I know I’m good at what I do and I have excellent references. If you need something cheaper, I completely understand — no hard feelings at all.
I’m an Irish mammy myself. I know what it’s like trying to keep a house going while juggling kids, work, activities, dinners, washing, putting clothes away and everything else life throws at you.

Sometimes it just gets overwhelming.
