Today, the Woro Ghana team took to the frontlines of waste management with a productive visit to the local landfill site to procure PET bottles. It was a hands-on day of sorting and collecting, driven by our mission to intercept plastic waste before it further harms our environment. Seeing the sheer volume of plastic at the site reinforces why our work is so critical; every bottle we recover is one less pollutant threatening our soil, drainage systems, and oceans. It’s gritty work, but it’s a necessary step in our journey to clean up our communities and protect our natural beauty.
This initiative is a core part of Woro Ghana’s ongoing commitment to reducing plastic pollution and promoting a circular economy. By transforming what many consider "trash" into a valuable resource, we are actively shrinking the plastic footprint in our country and advocating for more sustainable waste habits. We are more determined than ever to turn the tide on pollution, and we thank you for standing with us as we work toward a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Ghana for everyone.
