Under 8’s Blacks Player of the Match
The U8’s blacks team hosted Terrington Yellows in a sub cup match today.
We started the game really quickly with some great pressure and took the lead early on and continued to add to the tally.
Credit to Terrington as they kept going and Zak proved vital making some really good saves.
The coach asked our boys to play with confidence and to keep passing and moving the ball and that’s exactly what they did, we were breaking lines, getting the ball wide and into the box creating lots of chances.
The game ended with a WLFC win and we are through to the next round of the sub cup.
Thank you to the referee again and huge credit goes to Terrington Yellows for keeping their heads held high throughout the game and for continuing to battle on.
We finished the game with a friendly penalty shoot out for a bit of fun for all.
Players of the match …
Parents 🏆 Seth - his confidence on the ball today was like a prime Alan Hansen, carrying it out from the back into midfield and breaking the lines to create opportunities for his team mates.
Coach’s🥇 Max - his relentless pressure like a Duracell bunny didn’t stop all game, he’s becoming more confident on his so called weaker left foot which the coach is extremely proud of.
Well done to all the U8’s Blacks team today, fantastic performance, not just today but over the past 3 weeks, where confidence is building and team togetherness is becoming stronger.
Finally, thank you to the wonderful match sponsor EDEN Pest Control 🙏
