That is a Chalet Girl Shine if ever I saw one ✨️

To achieve a super buffed clean and shine we used:
Multi Surface Cleaner. Naturally scented with sweet orange, perfect for heavy de-griming.
Crevice brushes are your friend to get in all the nooks.

After rinsing we use a little to buff the tiles and shower tray and leave a yummy fragrance.

Then our firm favourite Vinegar to get that glass looking trés shiny!!!

Jess has been scrubbing her way to grout glory 🙌 as usual!

This is the first clean for a new monthly customer.

✨️ Walls and skirtings wiped down.
✨️ Bannisters and spindles de-grimed.
✨ All the nooks and crannies in the bathroom and toilets scrubbed.
️✨️ Patio doors and window frames cleaned internally.
✨ kitchen sink de-limescaled.
✨️ Outside of appliances cleaned.
️✨️ Super thorough hoover, pulling out sofas and removing sofa cushions.
✨️ Bedrooms and living spaces dusted, polished and high dusted.
✨️ Floors washed.

Maternity Cover - Experienced person needed ASAP.
I do have an angel who's joining the team who will cover most of my work but I still have Thursday and Friday mornings to cover.

I need someone to start right away so that I can go on maternity leave in a couple of weeks time 😬 I'll still be on hand for a few weeks to show you the houses and explain what's what but I've got to put down the gloves asap!

Most of the jobs are quite rural so driving is essential, the jobs are in Chesterblade, Shepton and Wells.

Must do better with the after photos 🙈 but....you'll have to trust me....it looked really good.

Here we're using Toilet Cleaner and some soda to remove a thick layer of limescale around the plug and tap edges.

✨️ We always use as natural a product as possible for the job. Making it safer for the surface or material we're cleaning, preserving the surface, whilst protecting our lungs...and our customers'

Maternity Cover - Experienced person needed ASAP
The lovely lady who was due to cover my maternity leave amongst other jobs has found she's struggling far too much with her back to keep cleaning.

I have a minimum of 4 hours a day of my own that needs covering with 6-7 hours available altogether each day.
The position is self employed.

I really need someone experienced who can step in more or less immediately, I had been planning to stop cleaning at the beginning of April so I only have March to get the right person clued up on how we work.

Most of the jobs are quite rural so driving is essential. All located around Shepton, Wells, Glastonbury and the surrounding villages.

🏋️‍♀️We have quite a few large properties and there's usually a 4 hour job to start each day so a good level of stamina is needed, you'll certainly get your workout in!

🙌 Thank God it's Friday!!! 🥇
What a year that week was.
From losing the van keys, to getting locked in a customer's bedroom 🙈 I've dreaded what's coming next!

But I have to say I'm so grateful for all the help I receive and other people's efforts and energy. It somehow made things alright!

🔑 When the van keys vanished my boyfriend jumped in to get me to jobs and the fab locksmith from my previous post jumped in to get me sorted with new ones.

🏠 Continuing with the key theme......I managed to get 2 of us locked in a customer's bedroom 😂😂
I feel I should explain here.....the decorators had taken the outside door handles off and put the handle in the room. Oblivious to this and trying to get to all the dust, I'd shut the door from the inside where the handle was attached....only to realise it wouldn't open!! With the customer an hour away, we were trapped.
So cheers to the neighbour who came to our rescue and got us out with another door handle!!

🤒 With staff sickness, we've had a really tricky workload towards the end of the week. But everyone has pulled together, done a fabulous job, as always, with a smile....you might even say we've had fun.

🚐 To get the workload done today I had to pull the van out of its MOT appointment! But once we'd finished, I gave the garage a call expecting to drop it in on Monday....but no, our mechanic said bring it on in, I'll get it done now! At 3.30pm on a Friday 😮

🐾 Oh and we definitely can't forget our epic vet at Wells vets who made an end of day slot for our grumpy border collie to get her jabs today and my wonderful mum for jumping in taking her out when I've been in a jam.

Definitely could have come home to a 🍷 or 3 after that week but this mumma to be, is settling for a hot chocolate 😆

I wanted to give a shout out to Lewis at Colin Thompson & Sons Locksmiths as he's come to my rescue for the 2nd time!!
Once on a customer's driveway when the keys got locked inside the vehicle. Now this time with a lost set (we think they might have gone out with the bins 🙈😬).
In less than 24 hours he's been out, new remote key set up and a spare.
Super reasonable price too, I didn't have to mess around using my key cover!

Thank you, I'm sure I'll have the opportunity to use you again 🤦🏼‍♀️😅😂

Hey, I'm Kelly, the "girl" in Chalet Girl Shine.

The girl that was once asked "if she had to chose whether to eat off of the work surface in staff accomodation or the toilet in her chalet.....what would she chose"?.........TOO EASY.....I'll take one of my immaculately cleaned toilets every time! 🍴

Looking after luxury lodges took me from the French to the Japanese Alps. I was there to deliver epic service and hospitality, something that's a crucial part of what we do at Chalet Girl Shine✨
Whether that was running around like a loon to get towels on radiators, beds turned down and rooms prepped and cosy for a good night's sleep all whilst keeping everyone's glass topped up.
Boots on dryers and kids coats prepped with tissues and sweets to keep the next day running smooth.
And making sure your space was as welcoming and organised on Day 5 as it was on Day 1, all the while making sure I had your favourite treat on the menu and a cup of tea in your hand when you walked through the door...okay, a wine....🥂

Just generally making sure that every element of your stay was spectacular, whilst keeping the place looking immaculate 😇

And that's exactly the M.O with Chalet Girl Shine. Making you feel like you're returning to your home away from home. Beds plumped, kitchens gleaming, floors white sock proof - It's the same home you left this morning...but just the visitor ready version!

2 years ago I U-turned from a stressful sales job, to days ending with texts from customers saying how great their home looked when they got home! With a team that says they "actually like Mondays now" And where the vast majority of our jobs come from recommendations from customers................
.....................the only thing that's missing is a lunch time run or two! ❄️⛷️
