Today in a coffee shop I heard a bride to be talk about her upcoming wedding.

She spoke of how she hopes the weather is desirable; how she hopes her guests who are travelling from afar will get in without incident; how she hopes that the makeup artist is able to keep her looking her best through the tears.

I listened to the excitement in her voice. I hung on to every word. I quickly glanced over to see the smile on her face, and the spark in her eyes.

And I held back the urge to tell her -

None of that will matter.

What will matter is how, ten years from now, when she has a bad day at work, he will bring her home dinner, and pour her a hot bath right after.

What will matter is how, when one of them loses a parent, the other is able to hold up their world for a little while, while the grief wave runs its course.

What will matter is how, should they decide to have children, she doesn’t feel like she is suffocating under the weight of new motherhood, for they are in it - together.

What will matter is how their love sustains them through every rough moment and every tough patch (because there most definitely will be seasons of both).

What will matter is how, no matter what other woman is in the room, she will always feel like the most beautiful girl in the world to him.

That is what I wanted to tell her.

But I just smiled at her instead,

Smiled over at my husband sat beside me,

And hoped, for her sake, that the weather that day will be good.

I think this is probably one of my most satisfying cleans to date… Courtney sent love heart emojis and couldn’t believe how I’d made her dress so beautiful again. I love my job!

Aprils dress was my biggest challenge to date. Although it’s not perfect, I have utilised every trick up my sleeve and spend weeks and weeks getting it to the best it can be. You can see for yourself how bad the before pics were! I’m really happy with the results and had to stop for fear or damaging the fabric xx

Samantha couldn’t believe how bad her dress was until I inspected it and send her the before pics! But look at it now - WOW!
