Bright liveries like this always look good once they’ve been properly cleaned. 🚛

This Sitra Group vehicle stopped by our Castleford truck wash site recently. The bright orange cab contrasted really well against the clean white trailer once finished.

SITRA vehicles cover huge mileage transporting food products across national and international routes, so it doesn’t take long for road film, spray and grime to build up. Keeping refrigerated transport vehicles clean and presentable matters when they’re constantly on the road representing the business.

The driver even turned up in an “Eat Sleep Drive Repeat” t-shirt, which summed the industry up pretty well. Long hours, early starts and plenty of miles covered every week.

Our Castleford team got this one cleaned up and ready for the next journey. A great looking truck and a nice one to have come through our site. 👏🏼

The recent heatwave has left plenty of trucks looking dusty across UK roads. ☀️

Waste management vehicles cover huge miles every week on busy construction routes, so it doesn’t take long for dust, road film and grime to build up in dry weather.

This One Waste vehicle stopped by our Purfleet truck wash site to get cleaned up and back on the road.

Bright conditions make dirt far more noticeable, especially on white vehicles and branded fleets that are constantly on the move.

Our Purfleet team got this one washed down, hand-finished and looking sharp again before heading back out for another busy day. 💪🏼

The HRC - Honda Racing Corporation team stopped by our Castleford truck wash site today on their way to the Isle of Man TT Races. 🏍️ 🏁

These support vehicles cover huge miles transporting bikes, equipment and everything needed behind the scenes during race season. When teams are travelling across the country and representing major brands at events like the TT, keeping vehicles clean and presentable matters.

Our Castleford team got them cleaned up and back on the road before they continued their journey over to the island. The Honda Racing livery definitely stood out in the wash bay.

Safe to say this isn’t the kind of traffic we usually see at the wash bay … ✈️

A Royal Air Force aircraft recently stopped by our Coneygarth truck wash for a careful hand clean, and it definitely turned a few heads while it was parked up. 😅

Our team gave it the same attention to detail they bring to every vehicle that comes through site.

It’s Learning at Work Week, and this year’s theme is ‘Many ways to learn’. At LPW, a lot of that learning happens on the job every day. 🦺

Working on a truck wash site means learning how to work efficiently as part of a team, keeping standards consistent, staying safe around busy transport operations, and understanding the details that make a difference when cleaning commercial vehicles properly.

No two vehicles are the same, and no two shifts are either. Over time, operatives build experience, confidence and knowledge simply by getting stuck in and learning alongside the team around them.

Every load depends on the condition of the tank before it. That’s why each clean is carried out using high-pressure hot water, steam sanitisation and air-filtered drying to help remove previous product residue and prepare tanks for the next job.

At our Purfleet site, drivers can get certified internal tank cleaning and a full external vehicle wash in the same visit. 🚛

That means less running around between locations and less time off route. Tanks are cleaned using hot water, steam and filtered drying to prepare them for the next load. The external wash removes the road film, grime and day-to-day build-up that comes with transport work.

The site is built around busy operations, with dedicated LPW Tankwash and LPW Truckwash facilities working side by side. Vehicles are cleaned efficiently, key areas are hand finished, and drivers can get back on the road without unnecessary delays.

Bit of a colder week again, and you can see how quickly it builds up. 🛣️ 🚚

This Scania unit and trailer came into our LPW Truckwash in Coneygarth with the usual build-up. Front end, wheels and lower panels taking most of it after time out on the road.

Rain doesn’t clear it. It mixes everything together and leaves it sitting on the vehicle, especially in the areas that take the most impact day to day. The longer it’s left, the harder it is to shift.

Our team start with a full pre-treatment to break it down, then work it through with the pressure wash, finishing the areas that aren’t always fully reached.

A straightforward process that keeps things moving while still getting a consistent result.

Our wash systems do the heavy lifting, but they don’t reach everything. 💦

Areas around the wheels, chassis and lower sections build up the most dirt, so they’re finished properly by hand using pressure washers. It keeps the result consistent across every vehicle that comes through.

We also go over windows and mirrors with a neutral rinse shampoo to sharpen the finish and keep visibility clear on the road.

It’s all about doing the job properly while keeping things moving. Most vehicles are in and out in around 10 to 15 minutes, depending on condition.
