5 Things You Shouldn’t Wash at Home

A washing machine is a great helper in every house.
But there are some items you shouldn’t wash at home — it’s better to leave them to professionals 👇

• Down jackets — the filling can clump together
• Wool coats — may shrink and lose their shape
• Curtains — can change colour and shrink
• Large duvets and blankets — their weight can damage your washing machine and they may not wash properly
• Delicate fabrics — can lose their colour and shape

At Share The Load, we choose the right cleaning method and products for every fabric so your items stay in great condition for longer 🤍

Save this post to avoid damaging your favourite things.

Before putting your winter clothes away:
✔ have them cleaned
✔ make sure they are completely dry
✔ store them properly

Dirt and perspiration left in the fabric can damage the fibres over time.

Bring your items for professional cleaning, and you’ll take them out again in autumn in perfect condition.

Why Do Towels Become Hard?
Stiff towels are not caused by age.
The most common reasons are:

• too much detergent
• hard water
• washing at a low temperature
• incorrect drying

At Share The Load, we use professional products and washing programmes that help keep fabrics soft.

Your towels can feel like new again ✨
