A stunning Deck completed in Netherthong this week for our lovely customers, Tina and Chris. With the sun hitting the front of the property all day, this deck has created a gorgeous relaxing space, looking out over the Holme Valley.
Along with the deck, steps and ballustrade, we added a small custom gate to match the ballustrade, to keep their little yorkie and the grandkids safe and contained, we were also asked to add a small fence and gate to close off the garden below, and a small gate underneath the deck for storage, completed just in time for them to enjoy it, this sunny bank holiday weekend. 😎

😱 Well, our customers Lynn and Chris didn't mess about, just WOW.
We finished this job on Wednesday, and just look at how they've made the space their own already.
This is such a transformation from the garden they initially had, the plants they've added will mature and add colour and character to the space 😍.....
We absolutely love updates like this, thank you guys.😎

A very tricky garden makeover, we've just completed in Marsden for our wonderful customers Chris and Lyn, while battling against the snow we've just had.

The garden was previously, a very steep embankment, with some old sleeper cuts, stacked up to create makeshift steps up to the rear gate.
The customers asked us to create two paved areas, a new rear fence and gate and some safer steps, to carry you down the banking, and also asked us to encorporate their large galvanised planters into the area to create both a focal point, and retain the 2 large planted areas to prevent them washing mud down onto the new patios.

We set to work stripping out the area, added the planters, securing them into the foot of the banking, then proceeded to add the sleeper steps, edgings and pathways.
Following this, we paved the areas in the customers chosen flags, a buff riven effect slab, and added a buff resin jointing compound to finish it all off. To the fence we cut the curved tops as requested, and made a matching gate.
The customers will be planting up the 2 beds at either side of the steps and adding bark chippings to supress the weeds.

We can't wait to see photos of this in full bloom, this summer.

Last weeks project, was a renovation of Luke and Beth's front garden in Golcar. Originally paved, with planted borders, this area felt exposed to the passing traffic, and unloved. They asked us to add a double sided privacy fence, so they can enjoy the garden, without having to watch the passing traffic, and also, to keep the dog secure. We started with the fencing, and proceeded to lay a lovely random Indian stone patio, in umbra grey, finished with charcoal resin, to make the paving stand out.
They're over the moon with the finished result as are we. 🙌 Luke Taylor

After much deliberation, our lovely customers, June and Mick, decided that following the build of the garden room by us a couple of months ago, they wanted a new patio to create more entertaining space within their garden, having decided against the original plan for slate edging.
We began by retaining the new patio with sleeper edging, having already removed all the turf. We then added a crusher run base and laid a beautiful random umbra grey, indian stone patio, following the angled cut of the existing resin driveway, up to the base of the garden room. We then added charcoal resin, to point it up.
We're over the moon with this addition, as are the customers, we hope you both enjoy your new space 😊

Completed today for our lovely customers June and Mick, working alongside Jamie J.F Fencing & Landscaping, a large Garden room and shed combo, to replace their existing garage, in the same dimensions.

The room stands at 18ft long x 10ft wide and is split internally into a 12ft x 10ft garden room, and a 6ft x 10ft storage shed.

Constructed with 6" x 2" timber to the floor and roof, with a 3x2 frame work, and cladded in tanilised shiplap, this building has been finished with some made to measure 8ft upvc french doors to flood the room with light and topped with an epdm rubber roof.
We've added deck steps to the front of both rooms and have been asked to return, to finish the exterior with a blue slate border, to marry the composite decking (a previous job we completed here) which sits opposite the new room

The customer chose to insulate both under the floor and in the ceiling, but chose to leave the interior walls without cladding for now. The ceiling was cladded in timber, to give a rustic finish, and we can't wait to see the furnishings and lighting in place, once the electrical works have been carried out.

Thanks to Ace Deal Windows, Doors and Conservatories in milnsbridge for the supply and fit of the UPVC.

A quirky front garden refurb, for our lovely customer Debbie.
Debbie asked for a garden makeover, with a specific request to define the path from the garden gate, which is offset to the right from the front door, as she also wanted the random pattern Indian stone, we chose to define the pathway with the matching Indian cobbles, and cut and curve the pathway, so it flowed through the paving to the existing step under the front door.
Debbie also, with agreement from her neighbour, chose to extend the paving up to the neighbours pathway, to tidy up the area, and create a more uniformed visual effect across the frontage of the property. Although following another wavy pathway, we achieved the results our customer wanted, and finished it off with a charcoal grey jointing compound to accentuate the umbra grey paving Debbie chose. We added blue slate to the lower edges of the paving for drainage, and although we left the existing step face in stone, tidied up the sides of the steps that were brick, with matching paving up stands.

We think it gives a truly unique finish and a beautiful result 😎

Our latest project, creating a large car parking space at a property in Netherton.
Utilising a large section of the lower garden, we dug out the 30m2 area, removing approximately 24tonnes, retained the surrounding garden with sleepers, and then proceeded to level the area, compacted it, put in the sub base, gravel grids and finished with a cream limestone aggregate, plenty of room for 2 large cars, and more free space on the driveway, the customers used to have to park one car behind the other, which made it inconvenient if they needed to take out the car behind, they can now pull on and off the parking area with ease at any time.

Feel free to get in touch if you require any similar projects.

Another job has reached completion. Feeling mixed emotions after this one, as we've really enjoyed both this job and the customers company. It's been a pleasure to do, and mostly wonderful weather throughout too.

As we posted, just before our holiday we'd completed the paving in the upper zone of the garden, the majority of the summerhouse was complete, with just the roof and guttering to finish, and we had the step into the room to set and flag.

The second zone was planned out, so this week our focus has been there. We've put in a winding pathway, down from the upper zone, following through to the lawned garden below, and at either side of the path, we've added blue slate to keep the area low maintenance, but also tie the upper and centre zones together. We've added a sleeper edging to retain the slate, and added a cute little custom sleeper bench, to the right hand side, opposite the existing shed.

While we were away, the existing shed got a fresh lick of paint, and now blends beautifully with the slate and blue grey tones in the paving.

All in all, we're over the moon with this transformation, as are our lovely customers.
It's been a pleasure working for you guys, thank you for the endless supply of coffee, and the beer too 😁
