Steam ironing effectively kills bacteria because the iron has to heat the water to 212 °F in order to generate steam, and most bacteria can't survive at this high temperature. Studies show that washing and tumble drying alone does not eliminate all germs and that ironing plays an important role in sanitizing clothing.

A little note to my valued customers regarding my little business.
Firstly I'm currently open as usual and will continue to do so unless ill or any of my family show symptoms of the virus. I ask my customers to follow the same advice. Extra hand washing etc along with dettol all in one spray is being used. I will continue to offer collections/deliveries whilst maintaining a safe distance with my lovely customers.
