The short version of this long post is we had 2 weeks off for Christmas and completely rebuilt our work schedule. This month is a one-off transition, so some visits may be slightly early or late. After this, everything runs smoother than ever 😀
Now the longer version for anyone who's actually interested 😂
As most of you know, we close for two weeks over Christmas each year so the whole team can rest, reset and come back fresh for the new year.
Because of that, our entire schedule is running about two weeks behind as we start 2026.
But this year we’ve also done something we’ve needed to do for a very long time… We’ve completely rebuilt our round order.
Believe it or not, we’ve been working on pretty much the same round structure since we started the business 13 years ago. Over time the business has grown, new areas have been added in and things just weren’t as tidy or efficient as they should have been.
Some weeks we were cleaning one side of town one day, driving all the way across to the other side the next, then coming back again later the same week. It worked… but it wasn’t great.
So while we were closed over Christmas, we finally pressed reset.
The new version simply takes us in a neat loop around town — no zig-zagging, no unnecessary driving, just a much smoother system that works better for everyone.
It’s also the only way we can continue to grow while keeping the level of service you expect.
Because of the two weeks off and the reshuffle, this month is a bit of a transition period. That means:
• Some customers we’ll see a little over 4 weeks since their last clean
• Some customers may be closer to 7–8 weeks this one time
This is completely a one-off while everything locks into place.
Once we’ve been round everyone again, your normal schedule continues from there.
We honestly should have done this years ago, but now it’s done, the business is in a much stronger position and we shouldn’t ever have to do anything this disruptive again.
