**Tuesday Top Tips**

Let’s talk about cleaning bathroom floors most hard surfaces recommend a bleach solution for disinfecting, but often you'll want to keep bleach and other harsh chemicals away from your flooring. Instead, you can disinfect vinyl and laminate flooring by mopping with a mix of one gallon of warm water and one cup of white vinegar.

You should clean your bathroom tiled or laminate floors regularly of dirt and debris by sweeping it about once a week and wiping up messes as they happen. However, you don't need to mop it weekly if it's not too dirty. Mopping is variable and can happen every 1-2 weeks, depending on how dirty your bathroom is.

Different mops and buckets should be used for toilets, kitchens and general areas. At the very least change the water and rinse the mop between cleaning these areas. Using the same mop and bucket throughout these areas may result in bacterial contamination from one area to another.

Then place the mop head outside on a clothesline; sunshine will naturally kill bacteria and mold. If that's not possible, stand the mop upright in a bathtub or other well ventilated and dry
