One of today’s jobs involved treating a tomato-based vomit stain on a cream carpet in Collier Row, Romford, RM5.

The affected area was professionally cleaned using specialist stain-removal and deodorising products to neutralise odours and improve the overall appearance of the carpet. However, due to the acidic nature of vomit combined with the heavy pigmentation and acidity from the tomato-based contamination, this was never going to be a perfect restoration.

Some permanent staining can remain in situations like this, especially on lighter carpets, but the results achieved today have made a significant improvement both visually and hygienically.

Nail varnish vs. Xtremeclean 💅❌

Our latest project involved a nasty nail varnish spill in Romford.

This one was a challenge! When nail polish meets carpet, the first instinct is often to grab an off-the-shelf cleaner and scrub. Unfortunately, aggressive DIY attempts can often "set" the stain or damage the fibres. Because the customer tried to remove it themselves with aggressive rubbing and off-the-shelf products, the fibres were already under stress.

Despite the previous rubbing and chemical use, we were able to achieve this fantastic result. It’s not always about perfection—it's about the best possible recovery for your home! 🏡
