Meet Samuel Atta Frempong - our Employee of the Month for July. 👏

Samuel joined Inner London Cleaning back in November 2025, and in just a few months he's become someone the team genuinely relies on. He's based at our client CheckATrade, where he's been doing a brilliant job - taking ownership, and holding the site to the standard we'd want on our own.

That's exactly what earns this recognition.

Huge congratulations, Samuel. Thoroughly deserved, and thank you for everything you put in. 👏

Late summer is the right time to think about gutters.

The spring and summer months fill them up — seeds, leaves, moss, bird debris. By the time autumn arrives and the rain gets heavier, blocked gutters have already started causing problems. Water backing up, overflowing down walls, getting into the building fabric. By then the damage is done and the repair bill is real.

Most FM professionals know this. The challenge is getting it scheduled before it becomes urgent.

Quick to arrange. Considerably cheaper than the water damage it prevents.

Summer is prime season for pest activity. Warmer temperatures, open windows, increased foot traffic — commercial buildings become a lot more appealing to uninvited guests.

The problem rarely arrives dramatically. It's the slow creep. A sighting here, a complaint from a team member there. By the time it registers as an issue, it's often been developing for weeks.

Pest control works best as a prevention strategy, not a crisis response.

At Inner London Cleaning, pest control sits within the full FM package — tailored to your site, with regular monitoring, a fast response when something appears, and full documentation for your compliance records. One account manager. One point of contact. No chasing separate contractors.

From rodents to insects, we cover commercial premises across London and the surrounding areas. And because it sits alongside your cleaning and washroom provision, you're not managing three different suppliers every time something needs attention.

If pest control isn't currently part of your FM contract — summer is a good time to change that.

Commercial cleaning in 2026 looks different to how it did ten years ago. Better products, more capable equipment, and scheduling built around how buildings are genuinely used rather than a fixed rota — the industry has evolved, and the best operations have kept pace.

That investment is deliberate and ongoing for us. Smarter scheduling means our teams are on site when buildings need them. Better equipment delivers better results with less product and less waste. Quality monitoring means standards stay consistent without clients needing to flag things.

What's worth saying about technology in FM is that it only works when the people behind it are properly trained and consistently managed. Our operations are run day-to-day by Gavin, our Operations Director, who holds the IOSH Managing Safely qualification. Staff are trained properly. Standards are supervised consistently. The technology supports a well-managed team — and that combination is what makes it work.

We're happy to talk through how we approach this if it's useful.

Managing one building well is straightforward enough. Managing a portfolio of ten is a genuinely different challenge.

Multi-site FM teams need the same standard across every location — consistent quality in every building, without a different contractor to chase for each postcode.

That consistency is what we've built our operation around. We work across London, Essex, Kent, and beyond — with the same team structure, the same account management approach, and the same standards on every site. One point of contact for your whole portfolio, with a team that knows each building.

For facilities managers overseeing multiple locations, that kind of reliability is what makes the day-to-day manageable. If you'd like to understand how we approach multi-site contracts, we're happy to have that conversation.

Regular window cleaning does more than keep a building looking its best.

Dirt, grime, and pollutants build up over time and can gradually break down glass and frames. Staying on top of it isn’t just about appearance — it helps extend the life of your windows, improves natural light, and maintains property value over the long term.

Whether it’s shopfronts, skylights, or top-floor offices, our experienced team works safely, professionally, and with minimal disruption to the building.

This month marks one year since Inner London Cleaning joined the Pets at Work Alliance, in partnership with Purina. 🐾

Albert the Pug and Bella the King Charles Cavalier have taken their responsibilities seriously. They've greeted visitors, supervised meetings, and made sure nobody gets through a working day without at least one proper check-in.

Pet-friendly workplaces genuinely make a difference — to stress levels, to morale, to the general feel of the day. We're glad to be part of something that champions that properly.

By June, the outdoor spaces at most commercial buildings are being used every day. Lunch breaks, informal meetings, clients arriving and taking a moment outside rather than heading straight in.

That increased footfall means grounds need more consistent attention through the summer months. Borders that were fine in April look different by June if they're not being managed regularly.

Our grounds and landscaping service covers the full picture: lawn maintenance, seasonal planting, jet washing, litter picking, and tree maintenance — all running as part of the same contract as your internal cleaning. One team, one point of contact, one standard across the whole site.

We tailor programmes to each site — the frequency, the scope, and the seasonal adjustments that keep things looking right through the year.

If you'd like to talk through what that looks like for your building, get in touch.

From 15 August 2026, new CLP hazard classifications come fully into force - changing how cleaning chemicals are labelled, stored and communicated to the people using them.

For a cleaning company with staff working across multiple sites every day, that's a meaningful piece of preparation. Updated safety data sheets, revised labelling across every chemical in use, and making sure every member of the team understands what's changed and why.

We've been working through that process over the past few months. Gavin's IOSH background means regulatory changes like this get built into operational planning early rather than picked up at the last minute.

For facilities managers, the August deadline applies to the cleaning teams on your premises too. If you'd like to talk through how we're handling it, we're happy to.

A day porter is there for everything that doesn't fit into a scheduled clean.

The spillage that happens at 11am. The meeting room that needs resetting between back-to-back sessions. The common areas that need attention throughout the day rather than just at the start. The kind of requests that come up because buildings are full of people and people are unpredictable.

Our day porter service runs alongside your existing cleaning programme — the same familiar face on site every day, with a working knowledge of the building, the routine, and what's expected. Part of the wider ILC team, managed to the same standards as the rest of your contract.

For offices, mixed-use buildings and multi-tenancy sites, that consistent on-site presence makes a practical difference.

If you'd like to talk through what a day porter service would look like for your building, get in touch.
