I used to think decluttering was on the same level as cleaning — you just had to put in the elbow grease and get the job done. 💪🏼

But for me, it didn’t work that way, and it left me confused.

I know I’m not lazy (I grew up in my family’s Chinese restaurant, and hard work is pretty much written in my DNA 😜). I was more than willing to roll up my sleeves and get the tough jobs done.

But there was something about decluttering …

It wasn’t the lack of effort. It was the emotional load.

The thoughts, the feelings, the memories — it made the whole process so HEAVY, and it had me going around in circles for years.

If this strikes a chord, here’s what I know now that I wish I knew then.

Yes, it might get harder before it gets easier. But that doesn’t mean you’re failing. In many ways, it’s part of the process.

Because done right, you end up with less clutter in your home AND your mind.

I am Lauren Sherard, Owner of Let’s Get Organised. I was brought up in the Bromley area and 6 years ago moved to Halling, Rochester.

As a little girl I loved helping with all the housework chores, organising my clothes and helping others.

I have been a personal assistant for a very demanding boss but I've thoroughly enjoyed all the tasks within the role but felt I wanted to do even more, so ...... I created Let’s Get Organised

SERVICES OFFERED

CLEANING

- Clean every room or your choice of room/rooms.
- Cater to your personal specific cleaning needs.
- Floors will be clean with both hoovering and mopping.
- Bathrooms- washed and sanitised throughout
- Kitchens- damp wipe cupboard fronts and washing and sanitising counter tops
- Additional cleaning tasks can be requested

HOME ORGANISING

- Wardrobes
- Paperwork
- One room or multiple rooms
- Cupboards/Drawers
- Help declutter following a bereavement or life change Support and help hoarders
- Declutter before or after moving home
- Assist with house move packing and unpacking

PERSONAL ASSISTANT

- Deal with bills, mail, shredding, scanning and general admin tasks - Manage the selling of unwanted items on various selling sites
- Management of cleaners, gardeners, builders and other staff
- Collate all information to ensure life runs efficiently
- Arrange gifts, flowers and Thank You notes
- Errand running (Post Office, Dry Cleaning, food/online shopping
- Pet Sitting
- Ensure correct/best tariff on utilities
- Prepare the home for guests
- Organise lunch/dinner reservations and travel requirements
- Wait for deliveries, house sitting, open and shut curtains and turn lights on and off.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Your booking is reserved for you. Late cancellations and "no shows" cost me precious time and money, I therefore kindly ask all clients to provide 48 hours notice to cancel or re-schedule bookings to avoid a late cancellation fee of 50% of the booking. Failure to show for your booking will result in full payment of the hours booked. I reserve the right to enforce these charges and any future bookings may be cancelled.
