Huge thanks to each and everyone of my customers, friends and followers 🙏 you know who you are. 😍

We raised £443.00 for Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children by running London Landmarks Half Marathon.

The atmosphere was amazing, the support 2nd to none!!! 💖

My favourite half marathon by far.... and fastest this year out of 4. I still have more to give and at some point, I will get my sub 2:15:00 finish time to get a personal best. 🤞

For now, I'm more than happy with that result, the time, the amount raised and the fact I enjoyed every minute of it.💖

And tomorrow its back to washing and ironing 😉

Race ready for tomorrow's London Landmarks Half Marathon.

Despite yet another short week last week, we have managed to donate at further £40 to Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children. That's £128.80 we have donated in the last 3 weeks.... plus extra donations from our amazing customers and followers. 🙏

That's £408 now raised in total which is totally amazing....we are soooo happy 🤗 and this will be in my thoughts when I struggle at my usual place around mile 9!!

We hope you are all enjoying your Easter Weekend 🐣

Here at Westbury, we've been able to get some much needed family time and our washing machine and iron have been turned off for 4 days.

Despite a short week last week, we still managed to donate £36.50 to Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children and will donate again on Friday before I run London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday.

2 years ago I ran London Landmarks Half Marathon for Newlife the Charity for Disabled Children.

This year I'm doing it again with my better half Daran on the 12th of April.

Newlife helped our family so much when Robert was so much younger with much needed equipment and support that was unavailable elsewhere. This is our chance to give something back. 🩷

Therefore between now and the 12th April, I will be donating 5% of our takings here at Westbury Ironing to this much needed cause and helping other families and younger disabled people. 🩷

If you can help...either by getting me to do your ironing and me donating 5% of the cost directly to the fundraising page or by making a donation then I will be more than grateful 🙏

Payments will be paid by Westbury Ironing at the end of each week. I'll keep you posted on how much we raise. 🩷

It's almost collection and delivery time and whilst my lovely driver Kev has taken some well earned holidays..its me that will be dropping off and collecting this evening.

Wednesday's route takes us through the Westlands, Keele, Silverdale & Madeley....then through Baldwins Gate, across to Barlaston & Trentham then back home 🏡

I do love catching up with my wonderful customers when Kev is on his happy hols...he's certainly had a good few days of sunshine 🌞 😎

☀️ Sunshine is back… which means it’s washing-on-the-line season!

Before you hang that first load outside, here are a few quick tips to keep everything fresh and spotless:

🧼 Clean your washing line first – Give it a wipe with warm soapy water to remove winter grime, bird marks, or mildew. No one wants mystery marks on clean sheets!

📎 Check your pegs – If they’ve been left out all winter, they might be dirty or brittle. Give them a rinse or swap out any that look worn.

👕 Hang smart for fewer creases• Shake each item before hanging to reduce wrinkles.• Hang tops from the bottom hem to avoid shoulder marks.• Line up seams on trousers and hang from the waistband.• Hang bedding evenly to prevent sagging and speed up drying.

🌬️ Use the breeze – Leave a little space between items so air can circulate properly (crowded lines = slower drying).

Nothing beats that fresh, outdoor scent 🌿
