We literally have the best clients🫶
Today, guys… I genuinely think I had one of the best days I’ve ever had at work. 🥹❤️
And I need to tell you why, because today made me realise that maybe, just maybe, I’ve finally found where I’m meant to be.
For a long time, I’ve missed feeling like I was helping people. I missed the connection I had with people on my postie round. I missed knowing the people in my community, checking in on them, having a little chat and knowing that sometimes, just seeing a familiar face could make someone’s day.
And today, while I was cleaning, it hit me…
I can have that again. ❤️
Today I visited an older lady who has recently had a hurt herself and was bed bound. We got chatting, and she told me she actually follows me from TikTok. 🥹
Before I left, I gave her my number and said, “If you ever need anything outside of work, please don’t hesitate to contact me. You can message or call me whenever you need.”
So saved me as moose mam 😭
And then I received a message from her afterwards…
Guys. 🥹
That message honestly broke my heart in the best possible way.
Because it reminded me that what I’m doing is about SO much more than cleaning.
Yes, I’m there to clean the house. Yes, I’m scrubbing toilets, doing floors and making everything sparkle. 😂 But sometimes, the thing people need most isn’t a spotless house.
Sometimes they need someone to talk to.
Sometimes they need someone to listen.
Sometimes they need someone to notice them.
Sometimes they just need to know that, if they’re struggling or need something, there’s somebody they can call. ❤️
And that’s when I realised…
Cleaning might actually be my perfect job.
Because I get to earn a living, but at the same time I get to do something that gives me a purpose. I get to walk into people’s homes and hopefully leave them feeling a little lighter, a little happier and a little less alone.
People might look at cleaning and think, “It’s just cleaning.”
But it isn’t.
It’s people. It’s connection. It’s kindness. It’s community. It’s being there for someone.
And after everything, finding something that makes me feel like I’m useful again… like I’m making a difference again… honestly means more to me than I can put into words.
Today wasn’t just a day at work.
Today reminded me that sometimes the job you never expected to love can become the thing that gives you your purpose back. ❤️
And that message from this lovely lady?
I’ll treasure it for a very, very long time. 🥹❤️
Never underestimate the difference you can make to someone just by being kind. You might think it’s a little thing… but to somebody else, it could mean absolutely everything. ❤️
