We recently had the privilege of returning to Gwennap Head Watch Station to refurbish a flat roof we originally felted over 30 years ago — and what a transformation it’s been!

This time, we’ve upgraded the system with a brand new Polyroof Protec warm roof, bringing it right up to modern standards for durability, insulation, and long-term performance.

We originally installed this flat roof over 30 years ago — and it was still doing its job.

No leaks. No failure.

Unfortunately, it had been badly damaged during recent storms due to solar panels, so it was time for a full refurbishment.

We’ve now refurbished it using the trusted IKO Mach Two felt system — built for long-term performance.

🌧️💪 Battling the Cornish weather this week in St Austell!

We refurbished a storm-damaged flat roof on a block of flats — not without a fight against the elements!

The roof has now been fully upgraded to a warm roof system, improving insulation and energy efficiency for the residents. To finish, we applied a Polyroof Protec liquid resin system, providing a seamless, durable, and fully waterproof finish built to last.

A huge well done to our operatives who tackled the 12-storey HAKI staircase— no lifts, just hard work and determination! 👏💪 Your effort doesn’t go unnoticed.

✅ Another Job Completed in Farnborough!

As well as completing several local domestic refurbishments in Cornwall this week, the JR Flat Roofing team successfully completed refurbishment works to the balconies and flat roof at a Co-op store in Farnborough.

We applied a Polyroof Protec liquid resin system to provide long-lasting, seamless waterproofing, along with installing anti-slip walkways to improve safety and durability.

Great work by the team and another quality project delivered on time despite the recent storms.👏

We’ve refurbished a flat roof at a nature reserve on the Lizard this weekend. The project involved new decking and was finished with a Polyroof Protec liquid resin system for a durable, seamless finish.

An amazing location to work in, even if the wet weather tried its best to slow us down! 💨🌧️ Despite the challenges, the job was completed successfully and we’re really pleased with the result.
