Well unfortunately it’s the end of an era 😢

It’s with great sadness & regret that we have decided to close down our lovely little Ti a Fi group.

It’s not a decision that has been made lightly, It’s just not feasible to run anymore, especially now with all the extra rules & regulations.

Ti a Fi has been in the village for over 35 years & has been voluntarily run by many dedicated ladies over this time. Llinos being one of them, who has run our lovely little group for over 15 years.

So on behalf of everyone who’s attended, adults & children (especially the children) I would like to thank Llinos Lewis, and each and every one of our volunteers, very much for all their hard work & dedication over the years. Without them Ti a Fi would never have been such a success.

I would also like to thank the helpers, the parents, the grandparents, the child minders, the guardians etc for all their support, friendship, chats, laughs etc. It has been very much appreciated.

A big thank you is also needed to the children, whom this group was set up for. They have made lifelong friends, my son being one of them, who is still best friends with his peers he met through attending Ti a Fi 11 years ago!! They have learnt, had fun, played, painted, sung, partied etc. It’s been a happy and enriching time for them all.

Also a big thank you to the chapel Calfaria, who very kindly let us use their vestry, the kitchen, and generally make a mess with our toys everywhere.

Over the years we’ve had fun & laughter, sadness & tears, tantrums & screams, tea & toast, we always had someone there to listen to us when we needed it, sharing problems, seeking advice, picking up tips.
And let’s not forget our shopping trips🛍 🍷 🚌 parties 🎉 🍷and fun nights out 🎊 🍷😁

I have personally made some amazing friends through Ti a Fi, as I’m sure many others have too. I so miss the social side, the friends, the chats, the companionships. 😥

As they say, all good things must come to an end. Unfortunately this is the end of our lovely little Ti a Fi group 😢

Due to the Coronavirus restrictions it has been decided not to hold a Remembrance Service in the Memorial Hall in Penygroes this year.

Hello everyone. We hope you are all keeping well during these strange and difficult times.

As schools are returning this week I thought you all might be wondering when/if Ti a Fi will be starting back.

So to keep you all updated, I can confirm that we have assessed the building (chapel) and our procedures, taking into account the required social distancing, space needed, cleaning, toys, making toast, tea etc.

Unfortunately we feel that, at present, we are unable to comply with the requirements needed to open safely. So we have made the very difficult and sad decision not to reopen at present. 😢

If circumstances change, then we may review our decision at a later date. We will keep you all updated on here.

May we take this opportunity to thank everyone, past & present, for all your support, fun, laughter, chatter, company and friendships. It’s been a pleasure.

Hopefully circumstances will improve and we may be able to review our decision 🤞🤞.

After careful consideration, we have come to the decision to close Ti a Fi for the current time.

We regret this decision but believe it’s the safest for all of us in the current climate.

We will let you know when we are open again.

Ti a Fi is open as usual at the moment. However we will monitor the situation and let you know if our decision changes.

With the increasing spread of the Coronavius we do ask however that we are all sensible and try and not increase the risk to each other as much as possible.

To do this we will be stepping up with the hand washing etc as recommended.

We ask you to help us by NOT attending if you or your child is unwell, or if you have been in contact with anyone with the virus.

We will keep you updated with our decision.

Congratulations to our one & only Llinos Lewis on her well deserved award from Penygroes community centre, Friday evening in their Awards ceremony.

Llinos has not only run our little Ti a Fi group for over 30 years, she is also a community councillor, a school governor, a fantastic child minder and an amazing friend to everyone. She gets involved with the community and supports any way she can.

She is always there with a listening ear, valuable advice & a nice cuppa to go with it 👍. As they said....’she’s like everyone’s Mamgu’ 😜
