Rats use the same routes again and again.

If the access point stays open, the problem comes back.

Bait removes the rat.

Proofing removes the route.

Repeat call outs are usually an access issue, not a rat issue.

This is what happens when gaps are filled with expanding foam to stop rodents.

It looks sealed.
It feels solid.
It fails.

Rodents chew straight through foam.
Worse still, it hides the real access points behind it.

By the time we arrive, the damage is already done.

This is why Kingswood does not use expanding foam for rodent proofing.
Ever.

We work differently.

We expose the gap.
We understand how rodents travel.
We proof using materials they cannot chew through.
And we finish it so it lasts.

Foam is a cosmetic cover.
Proofing is a structural discipline.

That difference matters.

At Kingswood Pest Control, we are not a pest control company that also does proofing.
We are a proofing first specialist that pest control relies on.

If rodents are getting in, poison is not the answer.
Stopping access is.

We provide the certifications and proactive monitoring you need to keep the inspectors happy and your doors open.

Don't wait for a customer to spot a problem. Let us handle the behind the scenes stuff while you focus on the kitchen.

Most people look at this picture and think “Father Christmas”
We look at it and think “This is the face of a man who has seen too many 6 mm gaps.”

Here is the twist.
Russell agreed to wear the suit.
He still refuses to let a mouse through a space the size of a pencil.
That tells you everything you need to know about winter pest activity.

And here is the part most people do not realise.

When it turns cold, mice do not wander in by accident. They target warm homes on purpose. One gap behind a unit can take you from quiet evenings to scratching in the walls before Christmas dinner.

If you want to know the single most common entry point we find in December, ask us. You will be surprised!

Every family has that one relative who turns up early for Christmas.
Ours just arrives uninvited and heads straight for the tinsel.

They love warm rooms, quiet corners and anything vaguely edible. Leave a few crumbs out and they will treat December like an all-inclusive holiday.

If you start hearing gentle rustling that is not coming from the kids or the dog, it might be your own little festive stowaway.

Eight days into December and the snacks are disappearing again....

If it is not the kids, it might be this little visitor.

Warm corners under the tree and a few stray crumbs are more than enough for mice at this time of year. They only need one small gap behind a unit to make themselves comfortable.

If you want a simple tip today, check under the tree and along the skirting for tiny crumbs or droppings. Early signs are easy to miss.

The Christmas party season has begun!

Great for us. Better for the mice.

Warm kitchens and late nights often mean leftover food. Mice only need one gap behind a unit to help themselves once everyone is asleep.

If you want to avoid uninvited guests at your next gathering, keep an eye on the kickboards and behind the oven. Little signs appear there first.

By the fourth of December the tree is usually up.

And the mice are never far behind.

Warm corners behind the tree make perfect hiding spots. Add a biscuit crumb or two and they will happily settle in for winter without you noticing.

If you want a simple bit of advice today, just slide the tree base forward and have a quick look behind it. It is an easy place to spot early signs before they spread.

It's only the second of December and the mice are already acting like they bought the place.

Warm cupboards. Loose crumbs. A tiny gap behind the kickboard. That is all it takes for them to settle in for winter and start helping themselves.

If you notice nibble marks, scratching at night, or food packets that look like someone has taken a neat little bite, it is worth checking before they turn it into a holiday let.

If you want to know the quickest way to tell if a mouse has been through your kitchen this week, ask us. Most people miss the obvious signs!
