Over time, water can become “tired,” meaning it contains a high level of dissolved minerals and contaminants (high TDS). When chlorine is added, it reacts with these dissolved substances, which can cause ongoing yellow discolouration instead of clearing.

In these cases, chemical treatment alone is not sufficient. The most effective solution is to fully drain, clean, and replace the water with fresh supply to restore clarity and water quality.
