Unfortunately, today was the final straw. 🌾

🏡We arrived at a property to find guests still there 1½ hours after check-out time, with no prior notice. Our team were left waiting, and despite not being able to work, we still have to pay them for their time.⏰️

This doesn't just affect one clean, it has a knock-on effect on the rest of our day, other clients, and same-day check-ins.

⛔️Because this is happening far too often, we will now be introducing a waiting fee for any late check-outs that have not been pre-arranged with us. All clients notified this afternoon.

We don't like adding extra charges, but we also can't expect our team to lose time and income because guests haven't left when they should have. 🤷‍♀️

Good communication helps us keep everything running smoothly and allows us to continue providing the high standard of service you expect. ✨️

Thank you to all the owners and hosts who communicate with us! We really do appreciate it. 🤗

A heartfelt thank you to a fellow cleaning business owner, Clare at Crystal Clean for taking the time to visit me and for the beautiful flowers and thoughtful card after the loss of my mam. Your kindness, support, and friendship mean more than words can say.

✨ We're Looking for a New Self-Employed Holiday Let Cleaner! ✨

Due to one of our lovely team members moving on soon, we're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented subcontract cleaner to join Nordic Cleaning Services.

📍Bellingham, Northumberland and surrounding villages

🗓 Work available:
• Mondays & Fridays (main changeover days)
• Occasional weekends
• Flexible work to fit around other commitments

We're looking for someone who:
✅ Takes pride in delivering high standards
✅ Is reliable and trustworthy
✅ Has their own transport
✅ Can work independently but is also a great team player
✅️ Has a positive attitude and a keen eye for detail
✅ Experience in cleaning holiday lets is a bonus

This role would suit someone looking for flexible self-employed work or an experienced cleaner wanting to add regular work to their schedule.

Good morning! 💃 I was back to work yesterday and we got eight properties ready for guests.

Yesterday's cleans included:
✔️2 x 2-beds
✔️2 x 3-beds
✔️3 x 4-beds
✔️1 x 10-bed house

Quieter one today with only a 2-bed and two 3-beds to clean. 🙂

Managed to do a great job even without my usual cleaning products! ✨️🩷
