Long time, no post- we’ve been so busy recently!
I’m struggling with before and after pictures since we’ve been cleaning for everyone for so long and keep on top of places where build-up happens, but here is a happy plug.

£££ payments £££
Currently I give clients at minimum a week to pay invoices as I understand life gets chaotic and things slip our mind. I am also one of few cleaners who don’t insist on payment before or on the same day, most clients pay monthly in advance or the same day which is fine, but I’m finding I’m having to chase payment when 2+ cleans have already been carried out.
This isn’t my side hustle, this is my main job which pays for products, fuel, insurance as well as childcare and bills, and I am considering moving to payment on the day because I’m going weeks not being paid and I hate having to remind people that I haven’t received payment for work I have carried out. I wouldn't get my car back from the mechanic without paying my bill, or be able to book multiple hair appointments without paying for the first.
Sorry for the negative post, on the plus side, the sun has appeared at last! 🩷

Let's talk smears.

And I'm not on about those on windows.
I had an appointment this morning: me and the nurse chatted about the weather, work, paperwork, and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. It was for everyone's favourite appointment - the smear test.

Over 30% of people who are eligible for cervical screening do not attend their appointments.

Screening and early detection saves lives.
I am one of them. Thanks to screening, I was able to be treated which prevented a more sinister outcome, and everything has been normal since. I notoriously ignored my letters until a friend posted she had been for hers, so I took the plunge and I'm VERY lucky I went when I did.

It's not going to be the most preferred medical procedure for anyone, but it's a crucial one and the nurses have always been amazing: going at my pace, telling me I could stop it at any time, and getting in and out (🙈) as gently and quickly as possible. I even took my Mum to my first one.

I'll go back to my lane of plugs and Hoover's now, but if this post reminds anyone that they need to book theirs then please, do it.

From foul to fab 🧼
This week I encountered every self employed persons nemesis- illness. Not completing jobs = no pay, we don't get sick pay unfortunately!
Taking time off is always the last thing I want and I always go out of my way to avoid it but on the rare times it does happen I can guarantee it's very genuine.
Thank you to clients who have let me shuffle things this week, and let me take a bit longer when needed 😅 Very thankful for you all, and penicillin!

Been very quiet on here recently because I've been so busy, between kids and sickness bugs 🥴 But we're still here, scrubbing away!

I've spoken to clients who it will affect but Kate is having to leave for 12 weeks, meaning it's me and Deb on Monday, then just me the rest of the week so we are closed for new clients for the time being. I could take someone on, but by the time DBS comes back, Kate will (hopefully) be back.
Thank you to everyone for being so understanding, and wishing Kate all the best in her recovery ☺️

What a result 😍🫧

I'm not lying when I say I was excited to get my hands on this toilet and I'm so pleased I managed to get a before and after picture!

It's not 100% perfect yet but I'll be back, armed with a scrubbing brush that won't snap mid- job, to get that last bit that wouldn't budge today 🫧
(Any suggestions for unsnappable scrubbing brushes, please let me know 👀😅)

🫧🫧 One thing I love about my job is giving people their time back.

As a working Mum with a partner who works away, I know how important weekends and family time are, no one wants to spend it cleaning!

Having a cleaner is nothing to be ashamed of, whether you want a weekly clean so you don't have to do any of it, or a monthly clean that you can keep on top of, it's prioritising your time so you don't have to spend those golden days off scrubbing plugs 🩷

Happy New Year!

December 2025 was certainly a tough one, and a one I would definitely never like to repeat! We've managed to retain and remain regular for 92% of the previous business's clients, as well as welcoming new and previous clients 🥳

Were bringing new equipment and new products into 2026, and again thank you so much to our lovely, loyal clients, yous have all turned what was a scary time into something so positive ☺️🩷

I have 0 products in my car, and Hetty is off on her Christmas vaycay for a change of scenery (aka she's in the shed 🤭)

Thank you to all of our clients for our Christmas surprises 🎁 We are really touched and it's amazing to feel so appreciated.

Have a fantastic Christmas, and finally, please don't spend it cleaning! No one is going to remember how clean your skirting boards are, or if there are water marks on your shower chrome- enjoy this time with your friends and family, and we will deal with those pesky water marks in January 💖

Another main player in lots of germs where you least expect it... The toothbrush holder 🪥

Saliva, tiny bits of food, germs from your hands and germs from the air all love to collect in the bottom, to make a soup that no one would want served 🫢
Regular cleaning and disinfecting helps keep that at bay, and is also very satisfying when seeing the end result! 💖
