People often say " it must be nice being able to take your youngest to work with you " and yes it's amazing still being able to take him to clients with me but I don't enjoy having to carry this dead weight around with me for hours 🥵 😅.

There’s no better gift to yourself than starting the new year with a clear, peaceful space. Decluttering before Christmas isn’t just about cleaning—it’s about releasing what no longer serves you, making room for joy, and stepping into the new year lighter, calmer, and ready for fresh beginnings.

So here are some little bullet points on how to get started when you find yourself stuck.

1: does the item serve a purpose? Does it bring you joy? Have you used it in the last 6 months? Answered no to any of these, get rid.

2: still have that item that needs "fixing" but it's been in the dark forever and will never get used, chuck out.

3: As you sort, use four boxes:
Keep
Donate / Sell
Bin
Relocate (give items a specific place to stop random piles)

4: more often than not we accumulate more than one of the same things because we've either forgotten or have too much stuff to remember what's there.

5: still have that one item of clothing for "someday it'll fit" or brought something that "might be" useful someday, well if it hasn't been recent, get rid.

6: when buying new things think to yourself what could you take away to replace it. Otherwise you're stuck back at square one.
