Dan works alongside me, while also running his own cleaning and restoration appointments with a fully equipped setup, and specialist products.
It's all about leaving a finish we're proud to put our name to ✔️

I proudly built this business working solo, and now we work as a team to achieve larger initial deep cleans. Having two of us often means we can complete the transformation in an efficient way of working, that offers more convenience for our clients, while maintaining the same attention to detail and premium finish ✨️

Bishop Grosseteste University Graduation 2024 🥳

Still celebrating 2 years on... 🎉

BSc (Hons) Health & Social Care, an absolute highlight of my adult life and a crazy rollercoaster of emotions 😳 😅 😍

I made friends for life, I got married, I had a baby, and I biked up and down steep hill with a kids bike trailer on the back far too many times than I'd like to count 🤣

I arrived with my breaking down car, full of prams, books, even a printer at one point (a story for another day, but the determination was defiantly strong) 😄

There was no better feeling than a morning cuppa in one of the most beautiful buildings in Lincoln. There was many brews needed, cups that would fill my cup! My energy, physical body, and mental health survived on those cups.

I cried tears of joy, tears of depletion, and won a few awards along the way 🏆

The character building over my time at Bishop Grosseteste was insane, and i'm truly greatful that I took the plunge on myself and lived a full experience of university 🙏

Forever in my wildest dreams that I crossed the stage at Graduation. What. A. Moment.

Come clean with me 🫶

Sometimes, these are so good hidden dust! There is nothing more satisfying than moving everything off, clean every item individually, and replace it back neatly 😍

A dressing table is one of the busiest spots in a bedroom, and rightfully so beautiful ladies 🫶 From sifting through products to find your favourite ones, to applying makeup, and spraying the most gorgeous perfumes... the brushes, bottles and baskets are handled countless times.

Over time, fine dust, fibres and everyday residue settle under, behind and between everything. It's easy to wipe around the items, but that's where the build-up stays. It's important that the entire area was thoroughly cleaned before being carefully put back in its place ✔️

Not only does it look fresher, but removing dust from high-touch areas also helps reduce the particles that are disturbed back into the air every time you reach for your favourite products 💄

And yes... you'll spot me trying my best not to photobomb the family photo while I was cleaning. 😂📸

I do not do this often enough... 👀

I get sooo fixated in my work, and it can be a really intense process from the second we step on site, to the second we pack away and leave. The results remain, but the moments can be left uncaptured.

I'm going to make it my duty to reflect more often, recently i've struggled with wondering how to display my business effectively. Its a tough market out here on social media, however, this is the direction to market, and promote for free.

What a beautiful tool we all have access to!
So, i'm owning it, and owe it to myself, to consistently prioritise my content, and share the joy we get out of providing this service on a daily basis.

Maybe you’re here because life feels a little too full right now. Maybe your home has slipped further down the priority list, or maybe you simply want to spend more time enjoying your space rather than constantly chasing the next job.

I’m Gemma, a mum of 3 wonderful children, and the person behind Gems Cleaning Solutions 🫶

This business started after I completed my BSc (Hons) Health & Social Care degree, I was desperate to get into community work, and worked long shifts on the cow farm while waiting for my dreams to come true 🐄 I came to a stand-still, and decided to stop asking for jobs and got out and made something for myself, that combined my love of helping people with my passion for creating calm, beautiful spaces ✨️

Starting Gems was also the final life goal I planned with my Nan who was my biggest supporter, my biggest cheerleader, and someone who believed in me more than anyone. Although she’s no longer here with us, I carry that motivation with me every day and I know she would be so proud of how far this journey has come 💛

I'm honoured to step into homes, business', and scenarios i'd never of imagined, and I’m incredibly proud of my personal growth, and the challenges in-between.

I still believe the most important part of what I do happens before the cleaning even begins. Understanding you, your routines, your priorities and what matters most to you allows us to create a service that feels personal, and not just a list of tasks. I've got you 🫶

I’m not here to simply clean your home and leave. I’m here to provide a service that creates a space that feels calmer, fresher and easier for you to live in.

Along the way, Dan has become such an important part of this journey. Together, our team approach brings care, passion and pride into every thing we step into 💪
