Running Cards UK was set up by, Rachel Job, a passionate runner, who was frequently frustrated that you couldn't buy greetings cards to celebrate running achievements or wish her fellow runners good luck before a race. The range has now expanded to include cycling cards and running-themed gifts. Suitable for new and experienced runners, we have cards and gifts ideal for birthdays, race celebration

s, Christmas and more. We’re always working on new ideas, so feel free to make suggestions. In the meantime, thanks for the support!

The alarm went off at 1:15am. Needless to say, sleep was very minimal last night. But it was worth it for a sunrise swim doing my first Henley Classic. 🏊

It was actually my first ever swim race. I’ve done a couple of triathlons and a fair amount of open water swimming but this is my first swim only race and my first time swimming in the Thames - well apart from an unintentional dunking a few weeks ago when I fell in whilst SUP-ing a few weeks ago 💦😅

I haven’t been posting many running pics lately as there hasn’t been too much running. Injury has been long lasting and I haven’t updated my Diary of a Perpetually Injured Runner for ages either. But I have been busy. Swimming a lot! 💪

I was in two minds whether to wear at wetsuit or not as the water temperature was a balmy 24.5 degrees but it was the middle of the night and with most other people keeping the neoprene buoyancy on I decided to follow suit. It was fine and I kept myself cool enough by pulling the suit down at the neck every so often to let the (slightly cooler) water in.

The swim is the 2.1km Henley Regatta course which takes place this week. The entire length of the course is lined with marquees and seating areas and bars. And more bars. I hadn’t realised how big and event it was. As you come into Henley, with the sun now up, it’s quite a privilege, especially with the beautiful clear skies as we had this morning.

As the early morning rowers were getting ready to head out onto the river, we were heading home. A shower, a cuppa and back in bed for a nap by 8am. Today had been a weird but memorable day!

Thank you Henley Swim and all the nocturnal volunteers. The atmosphere was friendly and inclusive.

Thinking about all the lovely folks taking on the third Queen of the Suburbs Ultra tomorrow. Last year it was soaking wet, this year it’s a scorcher ☀️

As a We Run Ealing trustee I’ve been heavily involved in the organisation and delivery of the event since we launched it in 2024 but this year it’s in the very capable hands of the brillant - a local, West London events company who are hyper focused on safety and enjoyment for all. They have implemented extra measures due to the warm weather - including moving some start times earlier. If you’re running tomorrow make sure you are aware of the new start times!

A big shout too for and for supporting the event behind the scenes.

I’m not there in an official capacity but will be cheering everyone on including our chair and Ealing Running Mayor and our Social Media volunteer who is doing her first ultra. 🍀

And finally, our ultra card and mug at Running Cards UK has been our best seller this year. Must be the year of the ultra…💪

📬Second class is the new first class 💌

At Running Cards UK we have always prided ourselves on getting orders out super quick and that has meant free First Class post for cards in the UK. But times have changed…

The price of a first class stamp is now £1.80, 91 pence more than second class. When we started the business seven years ago a first class stamp cost just 70p. We have raised our prices gradually, mostly to cover increased printing and envelope costs but the price of stamps has just gone ⤴️

After anecdotal evidence from some regular customers it’s clear that speedy first class post delivery is not requirement. In fact, it’s not expected. Since the pandemic, people have become used to ordering well in advance online.

Therefore, from 6 April 2026 all our UK online card orders will be sent by Second Class post by default. For any last minute orders, there will be an option to upgrade to First Class at the checkout.

Shipping fees remain the same for all gifts and all orders outside the UK.

Thank you to all our amazing customers. Any questions please get in touch!
