SEWER RATS🐀💩

Here is an image showing clear indication on how rats are gaining entry into tenants home. The image shows an outgoing old Victorian clay pipe that is now redundant and - newer plastic uPVC pipe which was installed in the last few years.

Brickwork around new pipe is not sealed allowing rats to burrow and travel around pipe to burrow under property. Clear burrowing/activity due to the debris build up around chamber and pipe, also scratching is seen in dirt marks and a clear run is also shown on the pipe.

Redundant old clay pipe is also an issue. Where it not being used it is unknown to whether it has been capped so I recommend to cap from this end and again soil debris buildup in an around pipes is indication of rat activity.

Actions implemented -

Three part rodent eradication programme ✔️

Recommend old redundant pipe to be capped, New brickwork and other durable materials to seal the area permanently. Work to be carried out by landlords builders ✔️

Another recent domestic property with a rat infestation which has lasted 5 years. Property owner was feeling like they had no one to turn too as having two previous pest control companies out before.

Upon inspection very damming evidence on how rats are gaining entry into property. Damaged brickwork within sewer manhole made an easy burrowing route to gain access into building.

To bring a resolution to this problem and prevent a reoccurring issue I have implemented the following.

- A three part rodent eradication programme ✔️

- Damaged brick course within manhole has been repaired ✔️

This is why it is always important to check your drainage system when having issues with rats 🚽🐀

An inspection was carried out within a domestic property due to tenants hearing scratching and chewing behind the toilet area.

Very damming evidence on how the initial entry for rats was discovered, where drain rats have crawled up soil stack and chewed at flexible pan connector to gain entry.

To resolve this issue and prevent reoccurrence I have implemented the following:

Three-part rodent riddance programme ✔️

New pan connector installed by plumbing professional ✔️

Supplied and fitted a one way valve into drainage system where initial entry was made ✔️
