Biffa Strike
Unfortunately, due to the industrial strike action taken by Biffa from 5th-10th December, we are unable to work / clean any bins that week. We know that this is not ideal for our Customers & as a small business, it's our worst nightmare. After the difficulties with COVID and the various strikes by Biffa since then, we have worked extremely hard to keep going. At an already challenging time for the entire Country, and Christmas only 3 weeks away, it couldn't have come at a worse time.
Our understanding is that Biffa will empty all GREEN bins in the Wirral area the following week i.e. 12th-16th December and again, they will empty the GREEN bins the following week. This also means that GREY bins will not be emptied until the week of 19th December.
This will leave us in a very difficult position as a small business with limited resources and staff. We aim to get to all customers whose bins have been emptied, however, there will be delays in us getting to everyone, due to the rounds being split between different areas covering the whole of the Wirral. Rest assured we will be working overtime to ensure we get to everyone.
We know this is a real inconvenience but, unfortunately, the situation is out of control.
