A selection of washed lots from Chiapas, Mexico have just landed in the UK, featuring lots from women producers supported through the Café Delas program.

Café Delas is more than a coffee program - it’s a platform for change. We’ve been supporting this multi-origin gender equity project for several years which was created to help women farmers access the resources, knowledge, and support needed to grow their businesses.

Every Café Delas coffee is sourced 100% from women producers and with every sale, a portion of profits is reinvested into initiatives that promote gender equality and create new opportunities for women in coffee. Over the years, Cafe Delas have trained over 700 women across 9 growing regions, enrolled 148 female farmers and with the help of our customers, we raised over $113.000 in premiums.

A specially curated organic washed & mountain water decaf lot, introduced by Covoya: Ki-Saya 💙

We introduced this lot back in 2024, sourced by small holder farmers in Chiapas, Mexico. The name KI-SAYA draws inspiration from Mayan heritage, combining “Ki” meaning “tasty” and “Saayab”, meaning “nature” - a reflection of the coffee’s connection to the land and the communities who cultivate it.

This coffee is truly shaped by people, place and purpose and brings the spirit of Chiapas in every cup 🌺

From the mountains of Huehuetenango to Baja Verapaz and Chimaltenango, our latest washed arrivals feature great diversity of Guatemalan producers in the region, including the beautiful lots from women producers as part of the Café Delas programme. Other arrivals have been rated as ‘Top Lots’ by our QC team upon arrival, delivering complex and compelling cups. 🌱

All Guatemalan coffees include a premium that help support the Kinder Coffee Project. The Coffee Kindergarten Project was created by our origins teams with the purpose of providing a safe space for children aged 5-13 while their parents work on the coffee farms during harvest season. While their parents are working, kids get free meals and education and the opportunity to just be kids. 💙

You can read our blog article about Coffee Camps and Kindergartens on our website, where you’ll also find our beautiful Guatemala poster to download.

As we move into the summer holiday period, our logistics partners will be operating on reduced schedules across parts of Europe. 🚛

For Kuehne and Nagel:

As a result of reduced service, EU deliveries may experience longer transit times over the coming weeks, particularly during August, as some routes will run less frequently and additional weekend traffic restrictions for trucks come into effect in several countries. 🇪🇺

Affected countries include:
• Germany
• Italy
• Spain
• Portugal
• France

For Libertas:
If you’d like to view your carrier’s summer schedule, you can do so via the Libertas Connect portal. Simply create a free account to access the latest service updates.
https://libertas-connect.base44.app/login

If you’re planning to place an order, we recommend doing so a little earlier than usual to avoid inconvenience in case of a delay. We’ll continue to dispatch orders as quickly as possible and appreciate your patience during this period.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our team by sending an email to [email protected]

Part 2 of the Story behind Uganda Zukuka Bora is now out on our blog!

Two natural lots available from Virunga Coffee Company in the North Kivu region of DR Congo 🇨🇬

Virunga Coffee Company was established by Schluter (now Covoya) in 2012 with a clear mission: to produce exceptional specialty coffee while creating greater value for the thousands of smallholder farmers across the region.

Virunga operates 9 washing stations, two of which we now have available in the UK: Mutendero and Kahondo Natural. 🌱
