A day down memory lane for me.
PAXTON who designed the Crystal Palace, he has been moved and cleaned. I would walk past him a couple of times every week on my way to swimming training at the palace with my trainer Julie Smith who swam for GB in the olympics.

Happy memories. Where the palace stood looks amazing - the terraces have been cleared and repaired.

Saturday … was it relaxing ?

Our Saturday … loaded the chairs and everything for Newark onto the van

Did a bit of gardening - finishing clearing where the chickens had lived and had turned into weeds paradise !
Had a chat with some one about taking the old white shed down.
Had a chat with the Robins - as you do.

End of the day the hedgehog is having a good meal eating all of the fat ball mess left by the birds

Had a ‘tidy the shed day’ yesterday and found my mums green majolica plate collection wrapped in 2013 newspaper.

Happy to say they have found a new home at our daughter’s house where they will be very happy as I am and I am sure my mum would be too.

These 4 beauties will be coming with us next week to Newark.

Rare find of a set of 4 French Louis XV style chairs from the late 19th century (1890)
Feather cushions with new cotton covers .
All sturdy and great condition .

Nice relaxing day - a little rain last night and not so sunny today but we went to Conwy - so so busy which is lovely to see for local businesses. Then onto Llandudno - also busy busy. Parked at the far end of the bay for a cup of tea on the prom - worst tea ever.
Back to sit in the last of the sun in the garden .
Visiting places together we have visited for so many years and Peter knows from childhood holidays with his family is always good.

We had a day out to Beaumaris on Anglesey.
We took a boat from the pier to go around Puffin Island - and luckily there were just a few puffins left before they all set off with their young ones . The dolphins that were spotted yesterday were not there, but we saw 2 seals and lots of sea birds .
Fish and chips with a mug of tea and then on to Penmon point to see it all again from land .
