✅ Checks the draw – helps confirm that smoke is travelling up the flue correctly.
✅ Identifies potential issues – can highlight problems such as poor ventilation or smoke escaping into the room.

Another important issue found during a chimney inspection.

This back boiler had a heavily corroded flexi liner, showing clear signs of deterioration, perforation and even separation of the liner.

A damaged or corroded liner can compromise the safe operation of the appliance and allow dangerous combustion gases, including carbon monoxide, to enter areas they shouldn’t.

🔍 Regular chimney sweeping and inspection can help identify problems like this before they become a serious safety concern.

If you have a back boiler, solid fuel appliance or gas fire, don’t overlook the condition of the flue.

Did you know that every time you burn wood, your chimney can collect creosote — a highly flammable substance that can build up over time?
Even if your chimney looks clean from the outside, creosote can be hiding inside the flue. Regular chimney sweeping helps remove this buildup, improve ventilation, and reduce the risk of chimney fires. 🏠🔥.
