Whether you are bored during the lockdown, preparing for summer, for when friends come around again or just want to improve your cleaning skills we are going to help. What we are trying to do is to use products which will be readily available in the supermarket or the bargain stores.
We are going to concentrate on a deep clean of the bathroom today. Remember to wear disposable gloves and clothing you don't mind getting marked if products splashes. Lets get going...….
1. Showroom quality toilet - we use drain unblocker and Zoflora as are go to product. Sq**rt the drain unblocker around the bowl and let it drip to the bottom. Leave for ten minutes before flushing whilst you clean the top of the bowl and the lid with a disposable cloth with Zoflora on it. Once finished trap the toilet brush with the seat to let it drip into the toilet - stops your brush becoming deformed in its container. We like to put a neat cap of Zoflora in the base of your toilet brush holder to make it smell pleasant when you use it next!
2. Sparkling tiles and grout - We mix vinegar and bicarb of soda together and then smear it onto the tiles rubbing into the grout. Leave for ten minutes and then rub down.
3. Unplugging drains - wire coat hanger straighten out and push down the plug hole and pull out any hair or grime. Easy peasy.
4. Limescale free showerhead - to clean limescale from shower heads or taps, fill a small plastic bag with vinegar and tie the bag around the shower head or tap with a rubber band. Let the shower head or tap sit in the vinegar for an hour and then remove the bag and wipe off any dirt or deposits. Easy! Just make sure to let the water run for a few minutes before hopping in the shower.
5. Showroom quality sink - Pour white vinegar or baking soda down the drain and flush with hot water. For the taps, use a disposable cloth or wipes, (wipes significantly reduce bacteria. in contrast, cloths may just move germs from one spot to another). When the handles are done, floss the sink (yes, you read that right). The stringy stuff is perfect for tackling that narrow, grimy space where the base of the taps meets the sink. Wipe down with a little Zoflora to leave it smelling clean.
6. The other stuff like windows sills, surfaces can be wiped down with a disposable cloth with Elbow grease ( a personal favourite)If you have vents and lights make sure you turn them off before wiping them down with your disposable cloth.
Dress with fresh towels (make sure to change towels at least every 3-4 days) and your finished
