Fuel’s gone up, electricity has gone up, even Freddo’s have gone up! 🍫
Now I like to keep things fair but if this first year being self employed has taught me anything, it’s that I have wildly undervalued my service.
When sitting down recently to reflect on my growth & progression it had become clear that most days I am working for less than the minimum living wage!!
When I take into account time spent, electricity costs, fuels costs and my level of service and experience, I was actually shocked!! Whilst trying to offer a lower rate I was devaluing not only myself but the service I offer.
As any small business owner will know - this is NOT something that I can sustain, long term. I have therefore made the decision to increase my bag/basket price.
From 1st Oct all mixed bags/baskets will be £25.
I am very mindful of the raised price and how it will be received and so at this time it is the mixed bags/basket price ONLY that is increasing. All other prices will remain the same eg: shirts, additional items, bedding, Next Day service etc.
This is not a decision that I have taken lightly and I have had to put on my sensible business hat to do so rather than be ruled by my heart (which is not cost effective!)
But you can expect the same great service, same crease-free clothes — just a little extra to keep up with the real world.

(But don’t worry — I’ll still iron out the wrinkles better than they iron out the economy 😉).
