We have a new addition to the Smart Clean family, Oakley the Dog.

He's settling in well to his new home and loving all the attention, especially the walks and playing football on the Longstrops.

He's my first dog, I've always had cats in the past, so really excited about the journey ahead. Welcome aboard little man!

First job today a light detail for this sporty little Fiesta that belongs to a good friend of mine. Wash, clay bar, hand polish with Splash Detailing Vanity and finished off with Splash Detailing Golden Delicious Liquid Wax.

Very impressed with the Splash Detailing products, Vanity in particular is a very clever product. It takes a very light skim off the surface restoring the paint finish but it also contains polymer fillers reducing swirls and light scratches and leaves a mirror like finish.

The perfect way to show the benefits of clay barring.

The left hand side has been clay barred, the right hasn't. That's the actual clay I was using bottom of the right hand side.

Clay barring removes organic contaminants. That's the science over, what it does is return that fresh looking smooth glass like finish to your paint. How smooth does it make the surface? Just look at that sheet of water on the clay barred side, the surface tension is even right across the panel. Even more incredible when you consider this vehicle is nearly 20 years old.

Some days you just get cool cars. Today was one of those days. A lot of work gone into this modern classic MG ZT today. Wash, clay barred, decontaminated, machine polish with Splash Detailing Vanity polish, a coat of Splash Detailing Golden Delicious liquid wax, glass polished, wheel wells brushed out, alloys waxed and tyres dressed. Phew! It's off to a big MG / Rover meet at the original Abingdon factory at the weekend so only fitting it now looks factory fresh again.

'61 Cadillac Coupe de Ville

What a beast! How much amazing Atomic Age design. Check out the driving lights in the bumper designed to look like the nacelle on a jet engine, the wings on the fenders, the fins and the rear lights that look like jet pipes with their fiery red lights.

It's seriously big, I felt like I'd walked 10 miles going backwards and forwards around it cleaning it.

Absolutely love it.

New arrival for a good customer of mine. Loads of work completed today getting it first super clean and decontaminated then building up some protection with Hybrid Ceramic Wax, waxed the wheels and even gave the leather a feed!
