Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Sports Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sports coaching and a commitment to educating children of all levels. The Sports Coach will be responsible for delivering PE within a primary school and lead sport half term activities.
What you will do
· Lead PE lessons throughout the day along with breakfast, lunch, and after school clubs.
· Coach a variety of sports and work alongside the PE curriculum.
· Work closely with schools and colleagues to ensure top-quality coaching.
· Be responsible for child safety, behaviour, and positive participation
Qualifications
Proven experience in sports coaching or a related field is essential.
Strong knowledge of the specific sport being coached, including techniques and strategies.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact well with children.
Ability to work effectively with children of varying skill levels and backgrounds.
Strong organisational skills to manage and plan sessions.
A passion for sports and a commitment to developing children's sports skill and knowledge.
Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
Desirable
· Minimum age: 18 (due to insurance and Ofsted regulations)
· A minimum of one Level 2 NGB sports qualification and/or equivalent teaching qualification
· Experience coaching or teaching groups of children (ages 4 to 11)
· A full UK driving licence and access to a car
· DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
· Energy, confidence, and a passion for getting kids moving
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £22,222.00-£23,989.00 per year
Expected hours: 35 per week
