Here at Eco-Ness, I use only eco-friendly cleaning solutions both on the exterior and interior of a vehicle, so unlike traditional cleaners there are no harsh chemical odours or dangerous vapours left behind to harm my customers. Healthier for you, better for your vehicle and greener for the environment. I use the latest in rinseless and waterless wash technology for the exterior and only use the

traditional pressure washer method when required. So, from start to finish you, your vehicle and the environment are in safe hands.

What is eco-friendly valeting?

A simple run down on three types of Eco-friendly based valeting.

The first method is the same as traditional valeting but with eco-friendly solutions.

The second is a rinseless wash which is the combination of a traditional hand wash and a waterless based wash method. With a rinseless wash you can simply wipe off the solution after applying it in the same way you would dry a rinsed car.

The third is a waterless wash and wax which does what it says on the bottle. It gives your vehicle a clean without the use of water and also leaves a layer of protection on your paint.

All three of these methods have their time, place and conditions of when to use them and all of them can be an effective and safe method to clean your vehicle.

Recently I had an interesting conversation about using eco-friendly products for my valeting business.
“Don’t try to fix what ain’t broke.” was the guy’s overall verdict.
The thing is I'm not trying to fix anything. I am simply trying to do the same job, follow the same processes without using highly chemical based cleaners. It’s not my place to tell anyone what to use and nor do I wish to. I simply want to use the products that I feel comfortable with using for myself and my customers.

Going Eco-friendly isn’t all about hugging trees or chaining oneself to one. For me it’s about my health when doing a job that I love, a job that I’m passionate about. When cleaning a vehicle, I am exposed to the products that I use for hours a day on a daily basis. Vehicles are small, confined spaces so breathing in the vapours and having the residue land on my skin is unavoidable unless I valet a vehicle wearing a full hazmat suit. The same goes for my customers because these vapours and residues hang around long after I am gone. There are also ways to make homemade products (something I'm looking into) that will reduce the carbon footprint of my business.

The reason I want to use eco-friendly cleaners on the exterior of a vehicle are same as above but also because these products get washed down the drains and have lasting or permanent damaging effects on aquatic life in our rivers and our seas or they are soaked up by the soil and have lasting and damaging effects on all life on top and underneath.

I am not here to judge or tell anyone else what to do or think, these are simply my thoughts and the things that I am conscious of while I am providing a quality valeting service.

When people come to my business page to put me down and accuse me of being a cowboy simply because they don't agree with eco-friendly products and the prices I charge, one must learn not to engage. If putting people down makes them feel better then good luck to them. Raising people up and applauding their efforts, and if having advice to give, it will be given freely, this is what makes me feel better.
