🏛️ Progress Update | South Audley Street, Mayfair 🔨

Barwin are pleased to share progress photos from our ongoing works at South Audley Street, forming part of a wider programme of repair works being carried out across Mayfair for our clients MCD Heritage.

These beautiful terracotta panels and sections of brickwork required intricate repair and preservation works to carefully restore the façade and bring the building back to life while maintaining its historic character.

With 40 years of experience in restoration, repair and façade cleaning, Barwin continue to deliver specialist solutions for external façades, monuments and historic structures across London and the South East.

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK 2026 🧠

At Barwin, we know that looking after our people is just as important as looking after the buildings and structures we work on. 💙

For Mental Health Awareness Week, we wanted to highlight the support available to our team through our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), provided by BrightHR.

The EAP gives our employees access to confidential support, advice and wellbeing resources whenever they may need it. We believe that everyone's mental health matters both inside and outside of the workplace. 👷 🚧

In an industry where pressures and challenges can sometimes go unseen, we believe creating a supportive environment and encouraging open conversations is incredibly important.

BEFORE & AFTER 📣

We’re pleased to showcase the successful completion of Phase 2 works at Allen Hall Seminary in Chelsea, London.

Our scope of works included:
🔹 Rake out & repointing
🔹 Brick repairs
🔹 Helifix crack stitching repairs
🔹 Full DOFF cleaning to the façades

Allen Hall is a historic and significant landmark, situated on the former site of the home of St Thomas More. It has been a key part of the Roman Catholic Province of Westminster for many years, and we’re proud to play a role in the careful restoration and preservation of this important building.

The before and after photos highlight the transformation achieved through specialist repair, restoration and cleaning techniques, helping to enhance the appearance and longevity of the façades while respecting the character of the original structure.

Great work by the team involved throughout the project 👏

We are delighted to be starting on Phase 3 soon, keep your eyes peeled for updates. 👀

BEFORE AND AFTER 📣

We’re proud to showcase a small example of our ongoing works at the Former Friends’ School in Saffron Walden – a historic site now being carefully transformed into The Waldens, a 96-home residential development by Chase New Homes.

Originally founded in 1879, this former Quaker school is being given a new lease of life, and we’re pleased to be playing our part in preserving its character while supporting its future.

Our scope of works includes:
• Extensive repairs to all elevations, tower, chimneys and boundary walls
• Raking out and repointing of stone coping joints
• Removal of existing metal railings
• Brick repairs, including Helifix installations
• DOFF cleaning to all elevations
• Brick refacing works
• Moulded and flat repairs

With a strong focus on quality and conservation, our team continues to deliver detailed façade restoration works that respect the building’s heritage while meeting modern standards.

Great to be involved in another landmark project. 🥇

STILL GOING STRONG 💪

We’re pleased to have been reappointed by City & Country at The 1840, St George’s Gardens, Tooting (formerly Springfield Hospital), continuing into the next phase of works.

Following nearly 6 years on site, Barwin continues to support the restoration of this prestigious landmark.

From detailed stone repairs to full façade transformations, we’ve helped shape this project... and we’re excited to keep going.
