Hi everyone, this coming week marks 10 years since I started cleaning! It was meant to be a fairly brief stop gap; I’d always worked in customer services roles for some big name global computer companies, and I kept expecting my partner to say, “it’s time to get a proper job!”

Do I love my work? Definitely! It's physical, and I really like every one of my clients! I couldn't do it if I didn't enjoy it.

Do I get bored? I never have yet! From monthly deep cleans to weekly maintenance cleans, you can call me odd, but if I have time after the agreed work, I find joy in those jobs that the client isn't anticipating.

For example, last week, I washed out several Perspex boxes containing toiletries. You know, the ones that dust particles find their way into, and cling to the once hygienic surfaces!

Previously, I've removed and thoroughly washed fabric place mats, sticky from children's breakfasts, and hung them out on the line to dry.

I don't shout about these little add-ons, but my clients notice and express their gratitude. We naturally expect the best for our money when we pay for a service. Don't we all just love it though, when we receive something even better than expected 🙂
