Hi everyone,
Here is a slideshow of a recent project involving cleaning, sanding and sealing of a driveway, and cleaning, re-pointing and sealing of a large double patio!
As for the driveway, after cleaning we swept in kiln-dried sand as it is very fine which aids in its ability to compact within the joints. It’s essential that this is used rather than builder’s sand or sharp sand, for example. We then applied a professional grade sealer to manufacturers specifications. This not only gives the driveway a richer colour, but is also a great barrier in preventing future growth of weeds and other live growth.
On the patio, after giving it a deep clean we used angle grinders to grind all existing mortar from each and every joint. Once all joints were completely clear, we used professional grade polymeric sand to re-point. We swept it in whilst using pointing tools and plenty of water to ensure all joints were completely compacted, which is essential for their structural integrity. Before sealing, we applied residue remover to manufacturers specifications to get rid of any polymers lying on the surface. This must be done so that the sealer doesn’t have a negative reaction when applied.
To finish the job off, we applied a professional sealer designed for the stone on the patios to manufacturers specifications.
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
Here is a recent roof clean we did on an extremely mossy garage roof.
Starting off around the back, we used our low-medium pressure purpose-made roof cleaning rotary head to reach all parts of the roof whilst obviously keeping ourselves off the roof.
Once clean, we applied a biocide to help prevent re-growth of moss in the future, giving longevity to these great results!
Of course, lots of moss came off the roof during this process. We unfortunately didn’t take any pictures of us clearing the gutters out as we were doing other tasks at the same time, but like always, we did this with our carbon poles and camera to ensure all moss and dirt were completely gone. All doors, windows and walls were rinsed down thoroughly and we even cleaned these customers’ patio, but couldn’t fit this into the slideshow.
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
The above slideshow showcases a recent roof clean and protect that we did on a detached property.
To do this job, as we always do, we worked off a mobile scaffolding tower to ensure there was absolutely no damage done to the roof during this project. To actually clean the roof, we used a purpose-made rotary head on the end of extendable carbon poles pumping out low-medium water pressure. Once this process was done, we treated the tiles with a biocide solution. The purpose of this is to continue acting on any stubborn black spots and lichens that may remain after the roof clean, and to help inhibit live growth for the next 3-4 years.
Both the homeowners and ourselves were extremely satisfied with the overall result!

Hi everyone,
Here is a recent driveway clean and re-sand and patio clean.
These customers didn’t want chemicals applied to try and protect their surrounding plants, but we still managed to achieve a great result!
A blog about this job is on our website describing all of the processes undertaken throughout this job.

Hi everyone,
This slideshow represents the huge transformation of an Indian Sandstone patio we’ve recently restored.
Our first process was re-seating a slab that had lifted. We initially thought the cause of this may have been a root from next doors tree, but turns out that wasn’t the case, so we simply proceeded in getting rid of all the concrete.
Once this was done, we put some hardcore in and compacted it with a sleeper. A fully compacted surface meant we could lay our thick bed of mortar. We seated the slab, tapped it down with a rubber mallet and levelled it out with a spirit level.
Our next step was cleaning. There was an Indian Sandstone patio and a concrete slab path. The customer wanted to preserve as many of the joints in the patio as possible so we knew we couldn’t use high pressure. This meant we had to turn to more chemical with low pressure water jets to achieve the desired result.
The next step was re-pointing the new engineering bricks and clean patio slab that we re-seated. We used a strong mortar mix in combination with striking tools to achieve a clean, professional finish. There was a little bit of mortar staining on the bricks after this so we applied some mortar stain remover to get rid of it.
Our final step, once everything was completely dry, was sealing the patio. We applied two coats of colour enhancing sandstone sealer to the slabs to really bring out the colours.
The final result is a patio that looks brand new!
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
Here is a recent roof clean and post treat with biocide.
This particular customer wanted their moss removing as it kept falling on the ground, so
the job involved using low/medium pressure with roof-specific cleaning equipment while working from a scaffolding tower to remove it, along with years worth of dirt build-up. After this, we, as always, treated with a biocide to kill off the very small fraction of remaining (extremely stubborn) moss and help prevent re-growth of live growth and prolong these fantastic results!
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
For this job, we were called to clean 16 solar panels, clear the gutters on the property and fix a leak on some PVC roofing.
To clean the solar panels, we had to use a mobile scaffolding tower to access them as the pitch of the roof made them inaccessible from the ground. We used pure water in combination with specialised chemicals to get them squeaky clean and back to maximum efficiency.
To clear the gutters, we used our SkyVac mighty atom connected to carbon poles to suck out all debris. Using a camera to see inside the gutters, we were able to deliver a top result.
We also fixed a leak in some PVC roofing using a hairdryer to dry the wet surface and waterproof industrial-grade silicon to prevent any further leaking.
A full job description can be found on our website.
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
Here is a recent clean that we completed on a 90 year old roof!
We started off by constricting our mobile scaffolding tower around the side of the property and worked our way round. To clean it, we used a purpose-made roof cleaning rotary head on the end of telescopic poles. Once this was done, we treated the roof with a biocide to help prevent further live growth in the future.
Our last job was clearing the gutters with our SkyVac mighty atom. This uses a camera so that we can see inside the gutter to confirm everything is clear.
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
Here is a stunning transformation of a section of decking which was desperate for some professional attention.
We began by using steam to help loosen the dried moss which was stuck to the wood before agitating it with a stiff hand brush and very gentle solution. Once the decking was clean, we left it to dry for 48 hours before applying two coats of high quality decking stain to the manufacturer’s specification.
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
The above pictures showcase an incredible transformation involving two big synthetic oil stains that had been penetrating this block paving for around 12 months. Synthetic oil is notorious for being extremely difficult to lift from concrete, especially when left on for an extended period of time! We had to use a very strong chemical (hence the respirators) which we have used several times before on bad oil stains similar to this one, and as you can see by the pictures, a remarkable result!

Hi everyone,
Here is a slideshow of a big job we’ve recently completed! It involved cleaning and sealing of two Yorkstone patios, many small blocks of Indian Sandstone (the last picture shows a comparison of some sealed against some non-sealed), three areas of resin, two concrete toppers on this customer’s front gate plus re-setting and re-pointing of a strip of Indian Sandstone blocks. As there was so much work, we couldn’t fit everything onto one slideshow but the majority of the stunning transformations have been included! A blog about this project is on our website linked on our page, so feel free to read about the processes we went through to complete it.
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
A recent block paved driveway clean, sand and seal here. The driveway definitely wasn’t in the worst state we’ve ever seen, but as you can see, it’s incredible to see all the muck that comes up once some professional equipment is used on it!
These homeowners opted for sealer as it not only prevents lots of live growth, but also gives a richer, colour enhanced finish to the concrete blocks.
Thanks!
