Legendary schlock-master Bruno Mattei (RATS: NIGHTS OF TERROR) really outdid himself with 1980’s classic video nasty bile-fest ZOMBIE CREEPING FLESH. Banned by the British authorities back in the early days of VHS, thanks to its scenes of innards-chewing, eye-popping and throat-ripping excess, ZOMBIE CREEPING FLESH is a strangely moral eco-horror film that warns against the very real terrors of nuclear pollution and chemical fallout as residents in Papua, New Guinea are turned into flesh-hungry undead denizens! Directed with the splatter-enthusiastic aplomb that one would expect from Mattei - one of the underrated auteurs of golden age Italian gore - and penned by the iconic Z-movie maverick Claudio Fragrasso (ZOMBI 3/ TROLL 2), it is tough to deny that ZOMBIE CREEPING FLESH is every bit as eerily entertaining as it was almost 40 years ago!

Some Original Front of House Lobby Cards for the Norman J. Warren film “Satan’s Slave” (1976). I was lucky enough to meet Norman in 1998 at a Hammer Film Event at the famous Bray Studios. He stood on the steps outside the main doors and signed a couple for me.

A Front of House (FOH) card is a vintage cinema promotional still, primarily used in the UK. Similar to American “lobby cards”, these physical promotional materials measured 10 x 8 inches and were displayed in glass cases to showcase key scenes and generate interest before the era of modern film trailers.

One of British genre cinema’s most important and distinctive independent filmmakers, Norman J Warren made a series of horror films which were at the forefront of a new wave in British horror during the 1970s. Reflecting a period of permissiveness and fearlessness, Warren’s distinctive stylings are far removed from the Gothic conventions of Hammer Films, deliberately upped the ante in terms of flesh, violence and gore to create a new breed of horror that was designed to shock for shock’s sake.

Five of Norman J Warren’s horrifying chillers are presented here in new restorations and on Blu-ray for the very first time in the UK. Containing a wealth of new and archival extras – including new appreciations by contemporary British filmmakers, new cast and crew interviews, audio commentaries on all five films, rare short films, outtakes and alternative scenes, and making-of documentaries.

HORROR MOVIE: PHASE IV (1974) 4K & Blu-ray Limited Edition from VINEGAR SYNDROME

Phase IV is a 1974 science fiction horror film directed by graphic designer and filmmaker Saul Bass. It was written by Mayo Simon, who used H. G. Wells’s 1905 short story “Empire of the Ants” as inspiration. The film stars Michael Murphy, Nigel Davenport, and Lynne Frederick.
Interiors were shot at Pinewood Studios in England and exterior locations were shot in Kenya, though the film is set in the Arizona desert in the United States.

The sole feature film directed by acclaimed graphic artist Saul Bass, PHASE IV is a landmark of 1970s science fiction as it blends arresting visuals, photographed by Dick Bush (Sorcerer) along with nature photographer Ken Middleham, with a tense and harrowing animal attack narrative. Starring Nigel Davenport (Chariots of Fire), Michael Murphy (Nashville), and Lynne Frederick (Sc**zo) and featuring a mesmerizing musical score by electronic music pioneer Brian Gascoigne.
