This week has been all about helping our regular private clients, catching up on the office work… and dealing with the surprises that inevitably pop up.

This week’s photos tell a story—but probably not the one you think.

One property challenged us with thick dog hair and years of built-up grime. Another brought a completely different surprise: a dead rat and insect activity, meaning we had to stop work, arrange pest control and organise specialist carpet cleaning before the clean could continue.

But that’s not really the story.

The story is about a client who was overseas, spoke very little English and couldn’t simply pop round to see what was happening.

She needed someone she could trust.

So we became her eyes and ears on the ground. We coordinated contractors, kept her informed, dealt with the unexpected and made sure everything was taken care of.

When she thanked us afterwards, it reminded us that clients don’t always remember every detail of a clean.

They remember how you made them feel when they needed someone most.

That’s what making a difference to properties for people means to us.

Because sometimes the biggest difference isn’t the property itself.

It’s the difference you make to the person behind it.

“I can’t believe the lengths you go to…”

That was the message we received from one of our letting agent clients after we sent her this photo.

And honestly… she’s right. 😂

During an end of tenancy clean, we discovered the master bedroom curtains were absolutely covered in cat hair. We’d never been told there had been a pet, so specialist upholstery cleaning hadn’t been arranged in advance.

Normally, we’d start with a vacuum, but these curtains were made from a silky fabric that simply wouldn’t release the hair. Hoovering barely touched it.

So… we improvised.

The windowsill was wide enough to hold an ironing board, so we turned it into a makeshift workstation and painstakingly removed the hair with lint rollers instead.

Could we have left them looking “good enough”? Probably.

Did we? Absolutely not.

End of tenancy cleaning isn’t about ticking boxes. It’s about noticing the details, solving the unexpected problems, and doing whatever it takes to leave a property ready for inspection.

My granny owned a hotel.

My dad was a farmer.

Looking back, I don’t think it’s any coincidence that I’ve ended up in end-of-tenancy cleaning.

Every industry has its “harvest season.”

For us, it’s May to September.

The phone doesn’t stop. The van never really gets unpacked. Henrys need cleaned, equipment needs repaired, stock needs replenished, and somehow you’ve still got properties to get inspection-ready the next morning.

Today isn’t a cleaning day.

It’s a maintenance day.

Because behind every spotless property is hours of work that nobody ever sees.

Farmers don’t stop because it’s harvest.

Hotels don’t stop because it’s peak season.

And neither do we.

Success in this industry isn’t just about knowing how to clean. It’s about showing up, day after day, even when the season is relentless.

We didn’t take a single photo of this job.

That might sound strange coming from a cleaning company.

Usually we’d be sharing before-and-afters, satisfying transformations and sparkling results.

But this time, the story wasn’t about the cleaning.

It was about helping a family start their next chapter.

Over the weekend, we spent 36 hours transforming a property that had been left in an extremely poor condition. Our focus wasn’t on creating content—it was on making sure a family could walk into a home that felt clean, fresh and welcoming from the moment they opened the door.

The property manager messaged us after today’s check-in to say the handover had gone so much more smoothly because the property looked fantastic. She also told us the new tenants commented on how clean every room was as they walked through.

Then she shared one final moment with us.

As she was leaving, she glanced back and saw the family standing together on the bedroom balcony, taking a selfie in their new home.

We never saw that photo.

But somehow, it feels like the most important picture from the whole weekend.

It reminded us that our job isn’t really about removing dirt.

It’s about helping people start their next chapter with confidence.
