Team News

No home game this weekend but we do have an evening league game tonight at Hirst Priory as the Development XI host Brigg Town as we begin the second half of the evening league season. The Midweek XI are Away to Scunthorpe Town tonight, both games start at 1815.

The 1st XI make the trip to Holton Le Clay for their first trip to the Village side in 3 seasons. 2 Changes for Ollie Ounsleys side as father and son duo Matt and Jacob Dunstan come into the side. A win on Saturday will see the 1st XI firmly in the promotion battle, and we wish them the best of their travels.

The 2nd XI make the trip down the A15 to play Nettleham Cricket Club 2nd XI as 4th plays 5th in the league. The two sides had some memorable games back in the 3rd Division including the nailbiter back in 2021 that saw the 2nd XI take 5 wickets for 5 runs to win the game by just 6 runs. 4 changes to the side that beat Alford last week with Russ Fletcher returning from the 1st XI and a first Saturday game of the season for Jamie Drury and Marc Bellwood. We wish them the best on their travels.

The 3rd XI play Scunthorpe Towns Development XI on Sunday with the full team still to be sorted but Alberts side will continue with the mix of developing juniors around the established players in the side.

Matchball sports for this week are Dazzling Window Cleaners and Green Home Heating and Improvements and we thank them for their support.
