Happy Monday everyone — I hope you all had a great weekend.
Thank you to those who shared some fantastic feedback on the new quoting app. Based on a couple of brilliant suggestions, I’ve already made a few tweaks to improve it!

Contract length flexibility - Number of contracted weeks.
The quote calculation was originally based on 52 weeks per year. However, one company pointed out that when quoting for schools, the number of contracted weeks could be 39 weeks per year.
So I’ve now updated the system to default to 52 weeks, but you can easily adjust the number of weeks per year to suit the contract you're pricing. This should make it much more flexible and accurate for sectors like schools and education sites.

Contract start-up cost allocation
Previously, if you wanted to calculate the percentage of revenue applied to a contract, this had to be worked out across your overall portfolio.

I’ve now added a new feature that allows you to drill down further into each individual quote. You can tick a box and enter contract start-up costs, such as:
• Equipment
• Consumables
• Training
• Uniforms
The system will then spread those costs across the contract period, giving a more accurate picture of the contract’s financial performance. (both screenshots below)

Next idea…
For the Pro version, I’m considering adding the ability to enter the contract duration, 3 or 5 years etc which would then generate a P&L sheet specifically for that contract.
