Listennnn I wouldn’t be the self righteous eco activist I am if I didn’t use this time to scream from the melting rooftops that THE CLIMATE EMERGENCY IS REAL 🌞🔥☄️
Obviously, the blame lies mostly on the billionaires- now not just the ones investing in oil but the ones investing in AI (if they go on nonce holidays, they’re bad people and the stuff they invest in is bad, that’s a rule of thumb in my book with no other context needed).
But we too are also responsible for the planet becoming too hot to sustain the species not evolved for it, including ours.
The easiest way to reduce your carbon footprint in 2026 is to stop or limit your use of AI. Delete Chat GBT. Stop making the worst most ugliest flyers of all time for your burger restaurant. Use search engines like the good old days, someone has asked your question on Reddit 13 years ago and it has the answer.
Cut down on meat and dairy. I’m 14 years in without cheese now so I appreciate I’ve forgotten how good it is and I’ve never had meat on purpose so I literally don’t have a clue about the spell bacon puts on people but just cut down! Vegetables are great! Tofu can be absolutely delicious! Lentils can do so many things you wouldn’t believe.

And you do not need all these chemicals to clean your house. Get a multi use product that you can use for most things.
Easiest, cheapest way to do this is to have 3 things in your cleaning cupboard:
-A soap (for literally everything but real wood furniture)
-A disinfectant (either 70% alcohol or probiotic cleaning solution)
-A wood polish (Mr Sheen can go through the holes in the ozone layer and straight into the sun for all I care, Delphis Eco | B Corp makes a great one, or you can make your own from olive oil)
For toilets, keep a tub of bicarb and a tub of citric acid in your bathroom cupboard, throw in a handful of each in the toilet. Done.

We are not too late, but we have to double down in our efforts now or the generations who are growing up now are going to have literally hell on their hands.

In the over a decade I’ve been in this industry, I quickly (I wish quicker) realised not to lean on products to get the job done (I’m looking at you, Flash).
Great results come from two things; technique and tools. You could stick us in any house with our bags and bags (no really, 3 huge bags, our backs hurt) of cloths, tools and various mops and vacuums and a bottle of washing up liquid and we would make the place SHINE. But give us a Henry Hoover with the basic head and some generic microfibre cloths and all of our products? I’d genuinely cry.

The products we use are of course important, and I invest a great deal in them to make sure they deliver the best results and are catered towards each individual homes furnishing finishes and dwellers (no essential oils around cats pleasssseeee), but it’s mostly for efficiency and extra touches like a beautiful scent, rather than the actual result. We could just bring a single bottle of .cleaning and we’d be golden.

I don’t gatekeep good cleaning, and am more than happy to share all the knowledge I’ve gained.
But there are some of you who are here to get tips and watch content of beautifully cleaned homes because you love cleaning, and there are some of you here because you hate it and don’t want to have to research what the best cloth is to clean a shower screen, and to the latter we say: you don’t have to. We have slots, and we will bring with us our 3 huge bags of everything and you’ll never have to think of it again whilst you’re in our diary.

So if you want a clean home and don’t want to have to lock in on how to do it and spend hundreds of pounds on the best stuff, get in the DMs 🙆🏻‍♀️

Also, tip, are the best. Trust us, we’ve tried them all.
