****CHANGES TO BIN COLLECTIONS FROM AUTUMN 2026****

Changes to waste and recycling collections from Autumn 2026
New government legislation means all councils in England must collect the same materials for recycling, including food waste.

For Cheshire East, this means some changes to how we collect your bins.

What's changing
From Autumn 2026:

food waste will be collected every week
your black general waste bin will be collected every 3 weeks
your collection day may change

What will stay the same
We will continue to collect your:

silver recycling bin every 2 weeks
garden waste bin (brown/green) every 2 weeks - if you subscribe to our Garden Waste Recycling Scheme

Update for Tuesday, 6th January 🥶❄️❄️

In light of the current weather conditions, cleaning services will be suspended for today as proceeding would present an unacceptable safety risk.

Update Monday 5th January 2026❄️❄️❄️

Unfortunately due to poor road conditions and intermittent/no bin collections in today's areas we will not be going out today.
Apologies for any inconvenience this causes to any of our customers.

❄️ Due to the adverse weather conditions across Cheshire East, it’s currently not safe or possible for our crews to carry out bin collections so far today.
⏳ We are waiting for the conditions to improve and will update residents with more information as soon as possible.
🌨️ The adverse weather conditions are forecast to last for the week commencing 5th January and may impact other collections scheduled for this week.
Where safe to do so, please put your bins out on your scheduled collection day and we’ll continue to keep residents updated.
