🚨 Out of Office (but not out of cleaning mode…) 🚨

Just a quick note from Marvellous Mops 💙

I’m away this week enjoying a bit of downtime, so all messages will be replied to on Tuesday after the bank holiday.

However… I’ve got a confession.

Even on “holiday”, I’m still walking into accommodation thinking:
🧽 “hmm… grout could do with a scrub”
🧼 “the bed isnt made perfectly, there is slight wrinkles”
🫣 “is that limescale… or am I imagining things?”

Turns out running a cleaning company means you can never fully switch off… it’s a hazard I wasn’t warned about 😂

So yes — I am resting.
But also quietly mentally rating every bathroom I see.

Sundays are for resetting your space so the week feels lighter — not harder.

Here’s a quick pro tips that makes a BIG difference:

💡 Clean from top to bottom, not room to room.

Start high (shelves, counters, surfaces) and work your way down to floors. That way, any dust or crumbs fall downwards and you’re not cleaning the same spot twice.

Kettle scale: fill with equal parts water and white vinegar, boil, then rinse — sparkling in minutes.

Pet hair: dampen a rubber glove and run it over upholstery for instant lift.

Busy day over here at Marvellous Mops 🧽✨

Started the morning bright and early at 6am with a peaceful walk along the King Charles III Coastal Path down to Thorney Beach with the dogs 🐾🌊 — the perfect way to reset before a full-on day!

Then it was straight into a deep clean, with Karen giving me a hand (teamwork makes all the difference 🙌). It’s been one of those busy but satisfying days where everything ends up sparkling!

I’ve popped a few photos of the dogs below because let’s be honest… they’re the real stars of the show 😍🐶

✨ Bedroom Deep Clean Transformation ✨

There’s nothing better than seeing a room completely transformed.

This bedroom needed a proper deep clean, with dusty surfaces, dirty window sills and built-up grime that had been left for a while. With a lot of care, attention to detail and some good old elbow grease, everything was cleaned, wiped down and refreshed.

From dull and dusty to fresh, bright and spotless – it’s amazing what a deep clean can do for a space. A clean bedroom doesn’t just look better, it feels better too. 🧼✨
