We focus on delivery first class customer services to our clients. We work incredibly hard to deliver accommodation through marketing and sales. We manage HMOs and serviced accommodations for our properties in Rotherham, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Sutton in Ashfield, Shirebrook, Derby and Nottingham. We organise cleaning and housekeeping and maintenance with a brilliant sales, housekeeping, and handyman team. Smart Short Stays Ltd is a property management company, we manage our property portfolio in Rotherham, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Sutton in Ashfield, Derby and Nottingham area. The company offers high quality HMOs and services accommodation to contractors, business professionals in the area, and associated company offers property training and coaching, we have grown our business massively in the last few years and have a team with 15 to 20 staffs employed or contracted. The office is very busy and therefore we are looking for a talented, hard working, easy going and fast learning individual to join our busy office in Chesterfield.

The role:
Financial Officer/Accounts Admin/Book keeper

Job description:
A small property management company based in Chesterfield, is seeking a detailed bookkeeper & Financial officer/office administrative assistant on full-time or part-time basis. Knowledge and working experience of Xero Accounts software are essential, as well as a good level of general IT literacy.
The ideal candidate:
You should have strong bookkeeping skills. Highly computer literate with previous experience in Xero accountant software, balancing of accounts for month end, annual company tax filing, and good communication skills and a team player.
Responsibilities include:
• Maintaining accounts
• Input of invoices and receipt to Xero
• Balancing suppliers’ statement and bank reconciliation
• Update and managing and filing documents
• Balancing accounts and credit control
• Preparing cash flow statements
• Generating monthly management account
• Generating ad-hoc reports when requested by management
• Other general office admin duties
• Prepare rent statement for tenants
• Preparing eviction statement to court hearings
• Responding to customer calls and enquiries
• Sending out information to customers
• Raising invoice and taking bookings and payments
• Dealing with customers checking in and checking out enquiries
• Allocate or instruct cleaners or handyman for emergency issues
• Prepare guest directory and operational manual for properties
• Preparing tax return for multiple businesses
• VAT tax return

You'll also help prepare the profit and loss sheets for the annual accounts as required by the company accountant and assist with other administrative tasks when necessary.
The hours:
Either full time 40 hours per week, or part time or flexible working hours are considered. This is an office-based role, not remote home working role. If you have the required experience and are looking for a new or additional role, please get in touch.
Salary:
Between £16,380 to £24960 per annual, and salary is negotiable depending on your skills and experience.

Cleaning Opportunities

Calling all self-employed cleaners!!

Vacancies for a business managing short term furnished property lettings. Our geographical reach is from Derby/Nottingham up to Rotherham and all key towns in between.

We currently Manage 40 plus residential lettings that are let on a weekly basis. I am looking for self employed cleaners who would like to be appointed to our register of qualified cleaners who would like to be contacted when a property requires cleaning,
Typically, we require cleaners that are mobile, can cover the geography stated above and are comfortable with 3 hour slots on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
On occasion there will be other slots available which you will be given the free option to fulfil or not.
The role will suit flexible working and I am happy to plan around your own personal family circumstances. (Children, Caring and other businesses)

To be clear our occupancy rate is very high which means a guest can checkout at 10am Friday Morning and a new Guest arrives at 15.00 on the same day.
The cleaning window is small.
Equally the existing guest may choose to extend checkout until 12.00 which reduces the cleaning window and they often extend at 9.30 am.
So, in the interest of honesty, I am looking for people who are flexible, happy to state when they are or are not available, proud of the quality they deliver in cleaning, understand that guests are unpredictable, are solution focussed and ultimately do what they promise to do.

Cost/Price per hour is negotiable at this point. I am happy to discuss.

High level Job requirements in our properties:

- Deep Clean Kitchen (Oven, Fridge, Freezer, sink etc)
- Deep Clean Bathrooms/En-Suites (Sink, Toilet, bath, shower)
- Removing cobwebs/dust-webs from each room
- Bed linen change for all beds (up to 9 beds per property)
- Hoover and mop all floors throughout
- Re-stock bathrooms (Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, toilet roll etc)
- Re-stock kitchen (tea, coffee, sugar etc)
- Remove property left by previous guest
- Empty internal bins in every room
- Remove any litter evident outside property
- Report any damages or missing inventory
- Change Key-safe code on exit
