🕷️ Well, that was a surprise! 🚨 On arrival at a clean this week, I was greeted at the gate by this big guy. Does anyone know what type of spider it is? 🕸️

With September just around the corner, we’re heading into spider season – when our eight-legged friends start looking for warmth indoors.

🌞 Tuesday Top Tip 💜✨
Bins + Heatwave = Unholy Smells 🤢

When it’s hot outside, even a half-full bin can make your whole kitchen smell… questionable. 😷

Here’s the summer bin hack:

🧂 Sprinkle bicarb of soda at the bottom of your bin before putting a new bag in—it absorbs odours before they take over.

🌿 Drop in a few drops of essential oil (like lemon, lavender eucalyptus or tea tree) on a cotton pad and pop it underneath the liner. This one’s lovely, and on offer at the moment from Tesco!

🧼 Once a week, give the bin itself a rinse with warm water + dish soap (or white vinegar if you’re feeling fancy).

✨ Smells fresher, feels cleaner, and you won’t be greeted by Eau de Rubbish every time you walk into the room.

Back to helping my lovely clients today—with a clear head and an empty laundry basket. Holiday washing: conquered! 🧺✨

Yep, even that new white shirt that went through a Greek rain/sandstorm 😅
I thought it might be useful to share my top tips for reviving whites:

🧼 Soaked everything in warm water with a scoop of oxygen-based whitening powder (I used Vanish Oxi Action)

🌞 Hung them out to dry in natural sunlight – nature’s best bleach

🧺 Washed with a mix of detergent + a splash of white vinegar for freshness

✨ Finished with a cool rinse and a touch of fabric conditioner for softness

Whites are gleaming. Suitcases are empty. Just the memories left behind 💜✨ Hope this helps!

✈️We’ve just come back from a fab Greek family holiday—and after a delayed flight—walking into a fresh, calm home early hours of the morning felt like the biggest relief 💜✨

Here’s some of the things I always do before going away to make coming home that bit gentler:

🕯️ Pop a bowl of baking soda or coffee grounds in the fridge – Absorbs odours and keeps things fresh while you’re gone.

🚽 Sprinkle bicarbonate of soda down the loo and sinks – Helps stop stale drain smells from building up.

🛋️ Tuck dryer sheets behind cushions or curtains – A little hack for a home that smells lovely the moment you walk in.

🚪 Leave interior doors ajar – Allows air to circulate and keeps things from feeling stuffy.

🧴 Crack open the dishwasher and washing machine doors – Prevents musty smells from developing in closed spaces.

🧺 Do one last load of washing before you go – There’s nothing worse than returning to wash baskets full of dirty washing and unpacking a suitcase full of even more.

🧹 Do a mini “abandon clean” – Empty bins, wipe down surfaces, sweep/hoover the main walkways. It takes minutes and makes a big impact.

Because no matter how your journey home goes (flight delays and all), home should feel like a welcome, not a to-do list. 💛

Whether you’re hosting Sunday lunch this weekend, or just want your space to feel fresh, here’s a few quick tips from us to help you prep (and handle any chocolate-related emergencies):

1. Declutter First, Decorate Second

Make space for those Easter decorations, platters, and crafts. A quick tidy-up goes a long way!

2. Watch Out for Sticky Fingers

Expect a few chocolate smudges—especially from little ones. Keep a damp cloth with mild soap handy for wiping doors, handles, and walls.

3. Chocolate on the Couch? Don’t Panic!

Here’s what to do:

• Let it harden first – place an ice cube in a bag and rest it on the stain.

• Gently scrape off the hardened chocolate with a spoon or butter knife.

• Blot the area (don’t rub!) using a clean cloth and cold water.

• Mix a little dish soap with cold water and blot again to lift the stain.

• Still not coming out? Try a tiny bit of white vinegar or baking soda paste—but test on a hidden area first!

4. Add a Touch of Spring

Fresh flowers, a spritz of citrus-scented spray, and a quick hoover can totally transform your space!
