Bathroom cleaning isn’t about spraying and hoping for the best. 😅

It’s about systems. 👇

No detachable shower head? No issue

➡️ Use the bin insert (clean it first), fill it with water, rinse the shower and wash the bin at the same time.

💪 Hygiene + efficiency = win.

Before you even start:

✔️ Get ALL the tools out.
Those awkward corners? Limescale lives there rent-free.
My £3, 3-piece brush set from Home Bargains gets used until it literally gives up on life 😅

Dust first. Always. So you're not smudging the lint around.

➡️ Damp cloth, NEVER wet. Less lint, fewer smears, better finish.

Mirrors & chrome:
✨ Mirror cloths. I swear by them. Dry, buff, shine. No drama.

Details people forget (but we don’t):
• cabinet ridges (water and other scum falls down there)
• under the sink
• towel rails — dusted, shined, towels neatly reset
• and yes… the pretty toilet roll for that hotel-level finish 🏨

Because clean isn’t just clean.

🚩 Business lesson learned the hard way 🚩

It was November 2023 actually to be percise ..we were recommended for an end-of-tenancy clean.

Client promised: no mould, straightforward, 4 hours max.
Videos and photos looked fine. I couldn’t attend in person.

Reality?
One of the worst cleans we’ve ever had.
Mould from floor to ceiling.
Limescale was so bad you couldn't see through the glass, grease and grime so severe, It almost looked uncleanable...

When we explained the job would go over the quoted time — and backed it up with 50+ photos — the client flipped 😱😱😱...denied acknowledgement, insisted it took some Serbs only 4hrs to clean somyhing like this in the past (absurd snd illogical..humanely impossible) for next to nothing£££, and barely covered the team’s work😨. Parking wasn’t covered either, which was agreed. Off to small claims we went...

9hr job will be done in:
9hrs by 1 person,
4.5hrs by 2 people
And 3hrs for 3 people doing exactly that job.

🥲🤐This was my worst story because it was the first and only job we've EVER walked out of without completion and without pay..but with hard lesson learned

Lesson learned:
From now on it’s A to Z only.
✔️ Deposits
✔️ Property checks
✔️ Clear terms before we accept a job

When a client knows our prices

…but still tries to undercharge, negotiate sideways, or speak down to us.

Let’s be clear:

We are self-employed cleaners.
We don’t have salaries.
We don’t get holiday pay.
We don’t get sick pay.

This is not a hobby.
This is not “just cleaning”.
This is our living.

We set our prices based on experience, training, expenses and standards.

There is no “special treatment”, no discounts for disrespect, and no explaining our worth.
Respect the work.
Respect the time.
Respect the price.

If that’s a problem — we’re not the right fit. And that’s okay.
