Ooh I forgot to post these earlier! This is my wisteria-inspired weaving/embroidery that I've been working on this week using my smaller tapestry loom. These will be 2 little panels to put with other fabrics. This is the detailing stage after fulling/felting the woollen woven fabric. These little stitches help stabilise the raised handspun and bring a little life to it. It's also probably the slowest bit😂🤦‍♀️

Hi there folks, thought I'd post some pics of my weekend crafting. I finally got my loom warped again and I've been loving this process. The pinks are cherry blossom/sakura inspired and I'm hoping to pair the finished woven fabric with some oriental prints for bags and pouches. The whole process was from making batts, spinning and we're at the weaving stage! After some embroidery and embellishments next will be the washing, cutting and sewing. These are one of my cast on projects for 😊 if I can I will be putting some of the bags into my Ebay shop but that is going to take time!!
Another of my "cast ons" are the blue handspun chunky yarns. I made batts for these in January for my daughter since she is loving these colours and she wanted me to make her some corespun chunky for a crochet project. The last pic shows Ava's progress on a cushion panel!
The Underwing Mitts got completed after an embarrassing 2 years🤪 I love these and I ha e cast some Varia mitts on after a few false starts with mitten pattern choices. My last cast on for January was a crochet cardi which is the pattern and I'm using a combo of yarns I dyed myself with some commercial laceweight alpaca silk by drops.

What has everyone else been up to? I'm so grateful it's actually February!

Hello folks! This is just a quick post to say I've been listing some hand made batts, handspun yarn and some destash yarns in my Ebay shop (look for scarletknits) and I'll try leaving the link on my stories/end of the post.

At some point I'll be putting some zipper pouch sets and (eventually!) some project bags with my own handspun and hand woven panels in. Though those are still at the stage of finishing the spinning! I'll show all that on a different post😅

If anyone is interested in custom stuff just send me DM and if you think anyone would like to take a look at my stuff I'd appreciate the share/tag in the comments. I don't know if I'll ever get back to having the Etsy shop up and running again but I'm enjoying the creating and actually making room in the crafting space by destashing some lovely yarns 🤗💖

Hello friends and crafty acquaintances!! It's been a while since I posted but I thought I would share some destash that I have put up on my ebay account (Scarletknits) to aid in making some space in the craft room. I have been going through sock stash and my self made batts that I just have way too little space for. I feel awkward showing my self-made stuff but hopefully some of you lovely spinners and crafters fancy taking a look or sharing my post 🤷‍♀️ These won't be on etsy as I just can't deal with the Brexit tax madness.

At some point next year I may start putting some of my weaving pieces up for sale, but for now it's mostly fibre and yarn. It's so hard to figure out how to price woven items or things like bags made with the fabric. Definitely feel the imposter syndrome and not being an "artist" or established maker. In this economy people just don't have the same disposable income and a lot of time goes into creating, dyeing, carding and spinning. I want items to be accessible but not undervalued if that makes any sense? Anyhow, I'll cut the waffle and feel free to drool on some floofs🤗💖

I'm totally in love with the Succulent keepers/crochet markers and the starry baubles (trying not to get more in just to make myself some crazy earrings😂)

So I spent today making and packing the orders. I will be posting the etsy orders tomorrow since young Ava as a sickness bug and I'm bound to home.
I have however now got turquoise feathers which are now in the shop! I love the custom work and got to make these up based on faith before they hit the shop!
I also have the next few charms that will be going into the shop after Wonderwool Wales now.
I hope you have all had a lovely bank holiday folks, I am going to do some spinning and rest up before being back in work on thursday. So...if you want an order posting before the weekend I'd get browsing😘

Update goodies!
The Cat in a Cup being my favourite of the update since we have a matching cat called Poppy at ScarletHQ. Lots of simple enamel keepers and a few a other bits. I love the cherry quartz as it has just a little more colour than rose quartz.
The Flight Collection is a gathering of butterflies, dragonflies and feathers and have their own matching ringos in 3 sizes!
I also love the Cat in a Cup ringos that are in matching shades of pink, white, silver, grey and black over rose gold.😍

Excited to share one of the latest additions to my shop: Baby Bunnies Beaded Progress Keeper / Crochet keepers.
These fun tiny little bunnies are made with 3D bunny beads instead of flat charms and light enough for sock and lace projects. Custom colourways can be made to your liking and I can change the clasp fittting too 🐇😊

Ava has got her first shop project done for the update coming at the end of the month. (Lets face it most of us with day jobs haven't been paid yet anyways so there isn't any rush.)
These will be the Crocus colourway and will also have a separate progress keeper. The violets ringos will also go really well with these and already available in the shop. Please show a little love for her 🤗
Today has been a day of restocking the unicorn teardrops and making the eco backing cards which is pretty time consuming. I am off to continue knitting (and testing) with the simple garter stitch mittens with is an early Ysolda Teague pattern and just so easy and useful.
